CFL Betting: CFL Bets and Parlays for Week 12
This week's two-game Saturday CFL showcase promises us plenty of offense, considering the vulnerable Argonauts defense is in action against the prolific Nathan Rourke to open the day and the Roughriders-Stampeders clash is one between the top two teams in the West Division and features a pair of prolific veteran quarterbacks.

B.C. Lions at Toronto Argonauts (Saturday, August 23, 3:00 p.m. ET)
The Lions are solid 3.5-point road favorites as far as the standard line for this matchup goes, underscoring the potency of both the Lions' offense and the vulnerability of the Argonauts defense.
B.C. is 5-5 and has just a +1-point differential on the season, but the Lions are now averaging 27.3 points per game and have scored a league-high 28 offensive touchdowns. Rourke has been on fire as well, throwing for between 337 and 408 yards in five of his last six games while posting a 12:5 TD:INT in that same span. Rourke also brings a nice rushing dimension (269 rushing yards and two TDs at 9.0 yards per carry), upside that sets him up perfectly in this matchup.
The Argos have given up a league-high 32.0 points per game and 28 offensive touchdowns. Additionally, Toronto has surrendered the league's second-highest completion rate (72.5 percent), second-highest passer efficiency rating (107.3), most yards after catch (1,220) and second-most (tied) completions of 30+ yards (19), giving Rourke multiple paths to reaching his part of the sgame-game parlay we're recommending as the main bet.
The outlook is very bright on the ground as well, as the Argos give up a league-high 114.4 rushing yards per game and do so at 5.0 yards per carry. Therefore, Rourke could also gain his fair share of rushing yards while helping B.C. to a win of at least two points (the first component of our SGP), while James Butler, who's garnered 785 rushing yards (6.6 yards per carry) and six rushing TDs, plus an extra score alongside a 28-245 receiving line, is an interesting Anytime TD Scorer prop option to consider for a game in which the Lions carry an implied team total of 29 points.

Saskatchewan Roughriders at Calgary Stampeders (Saturday, August 23, 7:00 p.m. ET)
This battle of two West Division heavyweights features a Trevor Harris-Vernon Adams Jr. showdown that was a gem to witness in the first meeting between these teams back in Week 6. In that 24-10 win over the Stamps, Harris had no problem moving the ball up and down the field despite the miserly offensive output, throwing for 425 yards and a touchdown. Meanwhile, Adams put on quite the performance in victory with 428 yards and a trio of scoring tosses in his own right.
Both squads and their QBs may be in even better form now about a month and a half later, which gives this game the potential to be much more high-scoring than the first. FD's standard total for this game is a solid 50.5 points, underscoring the elevated expectations relative to the first meeting. Harris' outlook is particularly encouraging, as the Stamps are now allowing 279.4 passing yards per game and have faced the most pass attempts (344) while surrendering the second-most completions (242).
Calgary is also conceding the third-highest completion rate (70.3 percent), and although the Stamps have been very proficient at limiting chunk plays and yards after the catch, they're dealing with a red-hot QB in the Roughriders' grizzled veteran. Harris is completing a career-high 75.5 percent of his passes and sporting the second-highest average passing yards per game (311.2) of his long career, making him virtually matchup-proof thus far this season.
Harris' standard yarage prop here is 293.5 passing yards, so we're teasing both that and the total a bit to gives us an appealing SGP we can take a shot on, with Calgary also expected to contribute some points against Saskatchewan's talented defense considering the Stamps' talent on the offensive side of the ball.
