England vs. West Indies: Second ODI Preview

West Indies and England will clash in the second One Day International (ODI) of the five-match series in Bridgetown on Friday. Both teams have already met at the same venue on Wednesday in the series opener, where Eoin Morgan-led unit registered an impressive six-wicket win to go 1-0 up in the series. Kensington Oval in Bridgetown will be used as the venue for the contest, which will be hosting its 37th ODI. Highest score at the venue of 364-4 was registered by England in the previous match, whereas the lowest total of 91 was registered by Ireland in the match against Australia during the 2007 ICC World Cup.

Therefore, the home side will have to improve their performance, especially in the bowling department, if they are to register a positive result on Friday. In the batting department, the team will be relying on the likes of in-form Chris Gayle, wicketkeeper-batsman Shai Hope and young Shimron Heymyer to score bulk of the runs, whereas on the bowling front, the onus will be on the likes of pacers Jason Holder, Oshane Thomas and spin-duo of Davendra Bishoo and Ashley Nurse to provide timely breakthroughs.

On the other hand, England will be coming in the match full of confidence and will be hoping to strengthen their position in the series with another positive result. In the batting department, the team will be relying on the likes of in-form Jason Roy, Joe Root and captain Morgan to score bulk of the runs, whereas in

Key Players:

Chris Gayle – 9 Cr

First in the list of key players features West Indies' Chris Gayle. The left-hander is famous for his explosive nature and has the ability to destroy any bowling lineup on a given day. In the previous match, Gayle scored a breathtaking century and smashed 12 sixes, but unfortunately ended on the losing side. Since the match is going to be played at the same venue and on the similar kind of pitch, therefore, Gayle, who is valued at 9 Cr, is the player to have in your team.

Jason Roy – 9 Cr

Second in the list of key players features England's Jason Roy. The right-hander played a match-winning knock of 123 off just 85 balls with the help of 15 fours and three sixes in a chase of 361. With the match to be played at the same venue, therefore having Roy in your team—who is valued at 9 Cr—might prove invaluable.

Ben Stokes – 10 Cr

Last in the list of key players features England's Ben Stokes. The 27-year-old is an integral part of the team in all formats and produced an impressive performance in the series opener where he claimed figures of three for 37 in eight overs in the match where more than 700 runs scored by both teams. Not only that as Stokes also scored valuable unbeaten 20 runs with the bat and help the team in getting over the line. That performance was a reminder of Stokes quality as an all-rounder, which is why he should be in your team for the match on Friday.
