Match Details:

Series: New Zealand vs England

Venue: McLean Park - Napier, New Zealand

Date: November 08, 2019

Time: 10:30 a.m. IST

Match Preview:

Hosts New Zealand will be looking to seal the series when they take on England in the fourth T20I at Napier on November 8. England, who were without their regulars for the series, have come up short with an experimental side as they have been unable to chase 177 and 181 in the last two games. They have handed out T20I debuts to six players in the series thus far, with an eye on the T20 World Cup that will be held next year.

New Zealand, on the other hand, have won the last two games after losing the first and will have a chance to get an unassailable lead. They will welcome back Trent Boult for this game after he was rested for the first three matches.

Weather Conditions:

It will be a pleasant day for cricket, with the temperature in the mid twenties throughout the match. The conditions will be clear with no prediction of rain.

Pitch Conditions:

Like most grounds in New Zealand, the track at Napier too aids the batters. The short boundaries sees plenty of sixes, and we could be in for yet another high-scoring affair.

Predicted Playing XI:

New Zealand:

The Kiwis will welcome back Trent Boult for the final two teams, with Lockie Ferguson making way. Blair Tickner replaced Daryl Mitchell in the third T20I,

Predicted Playing XI:

New Zealand:

The Kiwis will welcome back Trent Boult for the final two teams, with Lockie Ferguson making way. Blair Tickner replaced Daryl Mitchell in the third T20I, and the former is expected to hold on to his spot.

Martin Guptill, Colin Munro, Tim Seifert (wk), Colin de Grandhomme, Ross Taylor, James Neesham, Mitchell Santner, Tim Southee (c), Trent Boult, Ish Sodhi, Blair Tickner

England:

Chris Jordan, Jonny Bairstow and Adil Rashid made way last time around with Tom Curran getting a place in the XI and Matt Parkinson and Tom Banton making their debuts. Jordan could come into the team for Saqib Mahmood for the upcoming clash, while Bairstow too could be given a look-in in place of Sam Billings. However, the side is expected to continue  rotating their players.

Jonny Bairstow (wk), Dawid Malan, Tom Banton, James Vince, Eoin Morgan (c), Sam Curran, Lewis Gregory, Tom Curran, Chris Jordan, Matthew Parkinson, Pat Brown

Top picks:

Wicket-keeper: Tim Seifert (8.5 credits)

The New Zealand keeper has had starts in the series, scoring 32 and 16 before he fell for just 7 in the last game. He is a dangerous striker of the ball, hitting the ball at a rate of over 133 and can be a match-winner on his day. With a question mark over who could be the wicket-keeper for England - either Bairstow or Billings - Seifert is the safer option.

Batsman: Eoin Morgan (9.5 credits)

The English skipper hit two sixes en route his knock of 18 in the last game and now has 84 runs from 51 balls in the series. He is one of the most, if not the most dangerous batter for the team in the shortest format, and with small boundaries present, Morgan will fancy his chances.

All-rounder: Colin de Grandhomme (9.5 credits)

The all-rounder has fast emerged as the go-to player for New Zealand with both bat and ball. He hit 28 from 12 balls in the second game and then struck a fluent 55 from just 35 deliveries in the last match. He has a phenomenal strike rate of over 162 in the format, and can pick up important wickets with the ball as well, thus making him a must-pick.

Bowler: Chris Jordan (8.5 credits)

The pacer and death overs specialist, Chris Jordan already has five wickets in two games in the series and was rested for the last game to give the other players a chance. However, he is likely to regain his spot in the XI for the next clash. He averages 10.2 with the ball, and can chip in with the bat too, as he did in the second game where he scored a fine 36 in 19 balls.

Captain: Colin de Grandhomme, Eoin Morgan
