With the continued success of its esports endeavours in 2017, Amazon has decided to bring back its Mobile Masters event for another installment this summer. Running from June 23-24, some of the best players and teams will descend upon Amazon's state-of-the-art streaming studio in Seattle, WA for Mobile Masters 2018 to compete for their share of the $100,000 prize pool. On the slate this time around is Power Rangers: Legacy Wars, Survival Arena, World of Tanks Blitz, and Critical Ops.

While usually Amazon usually has a finite list of invited players and teams for these events, things are a bit different this time. Using the company's recently launched competitive gaming service, GameOn, online qualifiers will take place for both Power Rangers: Legacy Wars and Survival Arena.

"In talking with nWay and Game Insight, we recognized both developers were looking for ways to scale their competitive play," said Marja Koopmans, Director, Amazon Competitive Gaming. "With GameOn, they can now run qualifiers across the globe for Mobile Masters, identify the best players in their games, award prizes to participants and nurture talent creating a stronger sense of community. We're thrilled to help these developers realize their vision and host their top players at Mobile Masters this summer."

The Power Rangers: Legacy Wars qualifiers will take place from May 5-13, while the Survival Arena qualifiers will take place May 14-21. You can find more information on the qualifiers and general rules for the competition at amazon.com/mobilemasters.

The event won't just feature players from the qualifiers, though, as Amazon will announce the teams are players that will be invited to the even later this month.

With four of the hottest mobile games on the market, a brand-new qualifier system, and a $100,000 prize pool, Mobile Masters 2018 seems like it has potential to be the best one yet. You can catch all the action in June on the Amazon GameOn Twitch channel.
