I wasn't the highest on Ewers in college, but he has had an outstanding training camp and the system is one that rewards accurate throwers, which Ewers has proven to be. I'm on board with the yards number as well, but we're a little late with that number having already climbed.
Ollie Gordon 29.5 Rush Yards (More - PrizePicks)
Alexander Mattison 18.5 Rushing Yards (Higher - Underdog Fantasy)
Devon Achane and Jaylen Wright are the locked into roles, so I'm banking on them both being out of the game by the middle of the second quarter. That leaves a whopping two and a half quarters for these two against some bottom-barrel Bears defenders, who aren't playing their starters Sunday.
If Miami's reserve offensive linemen can provide at least some resistance these two can make plays with even mid-level blocking. I'm very high on Gordon, who I think checked out early in his final collegiate season at Oklahoma State.
Trey Lance 16.5 Rush Yards (More - PrizePicks)
Lance's arm was on display during his impressive Hall of Fame Game showing, and he rushed only three times for eight yards. However, his calling card is his ability to make plays on the ground.
Although he's clearly working on staying in pocket I think we see him run a few more times here and more successfully as well.
