Weekly Rankings: Week 10 Value Meter

Weekly Rankings: Week 10 Value Meter

This article is part of our Weekly Rankings series.

Sunday Update Complete (8:45 a.m. PT)

Bye Week - Atlanta, Indianapolis, San Diego, San Francisco.

Here are our rankings for the coming week at each position to help you decide your starting lineup. Our rankings are based on the following scoring system: four points for a passing touchdown; six points for a rushing/receiving touchdown; one point for every 20 passing yards; and one point for every 10 rushing/receiving yards. Flex Rankings are for PPR leagues.

Typically, this article will be posted on Tuesday evenings, roughly around 10:00 pm PT.

I will update these during the week, usually twice per week to account for injury or other news during practice. The timing of those updates will vary based on the news at hand and my schedule for the given week. But the first of those updates usually won't happen until Thursday. At any rate, I will post a "last updated" note at the top of the article, or an "update in progress" note if it's while I'm doing it.

By all means, if you want to discuss a rank, or want me to add a player, chime in on the comments. I try to be receptive to your feedback and try to respond to most comments, though on occasion the volume can be quite thick. Please refer to the rankings first when asking "should I start Player A vs. Player B?".

Quarterback

1.Tom Brady NE at NYG
2.Drew Brees NO at Was

Quarterback

1.Tom Brady NE at NYG
2.Drew Brees NO at Was
3.Aaron Rodgers GB vs. Det
4.Andy Dalton CIN vs. Hou
5.Eli Manning NYG vs. NE
6.Cam Newton CAR at Ten
7.Joe Flacco BAL vs. Jax
Note: Flacco won't have Steve Smith, but at least he had the bye week to adjust, and has a great matchup to boot.
8.Derek Carr OAK vs. Min
Note: Carr has a tricky matchup against the Vikings this week, but he's exceeded expectations at nearly every turn this season.
9.Blake Bortles JAC at Bal
Note: Bortles put up big yards in a tough matchup (381 yards, two touchdowns), but he also had a lot of disaster plays - sacked six times, two interceptions and two fumbles (losing one). On paper this week should be a good matchup against the Ravens, but I'm wary that the Ravens might have fixed some of their problems over the bye.
10.Sam Bradford PHI vs. Mia
11.Kirk Cousins WAS vs. NO
Note: Cousins wasn't very good against the Pats, but his receivers were worse, dropping seven passes.
12.*Peyton Manning DEN vs. KC
Note: Manning has at least one interception in every game this year, including two against the Colts in the Week 9 loss. Sat out practice Wednesday with a sore foot, but returned Thursday. ***Limited practice all week, but expected to start.***
13.*Landry Jones PIT vs. Cle
Note: In line to start this week. Big Ben hasn't been fully ruled out, but it's long shot that he'll play. ***Big Ben listed as questionable, but Jones is still expected to start.***

16.Russell Wilson SEA vs. Ari
17.Matthew Stafford DET at GB
18.Carson Palmer ARZ at Sea

20.Brian Hoyer HOU at Cin
21.Matt Cassel DAL at TB
22.*Teddy Bridgewater MIN at Oak
Note: Suffered a concussion late in the win over the Rams. He passed the first concussion test, and coach Mike Zimmer is optimistic that Bridgewater will be able to play. Full participant in Thursday's practice. ***Officially cleared the concussion protocol and will start Sunday.***
23.Marcus Mariota TEN vs. Car
Note: Did a fantastic job in a good matchup in his first game back from a knee injury. He'll have a much more difficult opponent against Carolina this week.
24.Alex Smith KC at Den
25.Tyrod Taylor BUF at NYJ
26.Jay Cutler CHI at StL
27.Nick Foles STL vs. Chi
Note: Could be the least productive fantasy quarterback in the league - seven consecutive games below 200 yards.

29.*Shaun Hill MIN at Oak
Note: Will start if Bridgewater can't go.
30.*Ben Roethlisberger PIT vs. Cle
Note: Roethlisberger suffered a mid-foot sprain in the win over the Raiders and is expected to miss this week, though the Steelers haven't officially placed him out. Limited practice Thursday. ***Listed as questionable, but some sources suggest that he has 'no chance to play.'***
31.*Josh McCown CLE at Pit

22.C.J. Anderson DEN vs. KC
23.Shane Vereen NYG vs. NE

Note: Looked pretty good against the Saints, but how much will his workload get cut by David Cobb?
26.*Marshawn Lynch SEA vs. Ari
Note: ***Added to the injury report Friday after feeling pain in his abdomen Thursday, will be a game-time decision Sunday night. You'd better have Rawls, Chris Johnson or a back from the Monday night game if you're going to consider starting Lynch this week.***
27.*Thomas Rawls SEA vs. Ari
Note: ***Even if Lynch plays, you have to figure that Rawls will get more work than usual.***
28.Duke Johnson CLE at Pit
Note: Maybe more work with the Browns releasing Robert Turbin? Nah ... they need to find out what they have in Glenn Winston! Or maybe they'll bring in Earnest Mack, or Leroy Hoard!
29.*Ryan Mathews PHI vs. Mia
Note: ***(Groin) Listed as probable.***
30.Joique Bell DET at GB
31.Charles Sims TB vs. Dal
32.*Karlos Williams BUF at NYJ

Note: Had the most work among the Redskins running backs but did very little against the Pats.
34.Rashad Jennings NYG vs. NE
