Ups production in second season
Tryon-Shoyinka posted 40 tackles (23 solo), including four sacks, and defensed two passes across 17 games during the 2022 regular season.
ANALYSIS
The 2021 first-round pick also tallied two tackles (one solo) in 41 snaps during the wild-card loss to the Cowboys. Tryon-Shoyinka played a career-high 806 snaps on defense during the regular season, which led to him boosting his rookie-season tackle total by 11 stops and matching his 2021 sack tally as well. Tryon-Shoyinka could be in line for an even larger role next season if Lavonte David departs via free agency.

Bill Belichick and Josh McDaniels weren't exactly forthcoming with information on Rhamondre Stevenson and Darren Waller, among others.

John McKechnie projects how the first round will shake out in the upcoming NFL Draft. In yet another loaded receiver class, will Ohio State's Garrett Wilson be the first player selected at his position?

Seeking his eighth Super Bowl ring likely is enough to motivate Tom Brady, but no team has won back-to-back titles since his Patriots in 2003-04. The Bucs are all in to do just that in 2021.

John McKechnie drops his final mock with the draft set to get underway. The intrigue starts with the 49ers at No.3 on Thursday, where San Francisco could have something up its sleeve.
2021 Fantasy Outlook
The 32nd overall pick in this year's draft, Tryon's destination arguably is both a blessing and a curse with respect to his rookie season. On the one hand, the Washington product couldn't ask for a better set of mentors than Lavonte David, Jason Pierre-Paul, Devin White and Shaquil Barrett. At the same time, the presence of that quartet likely will keep Tyron from seeing the field in base packages in the fall, absent injury. Tryon opted out of last season, but he racked up eight sacks and 12.5 tackles for loss in 13 games as a sophomore in 2019. He appears to have the raw talent to develop into an IDP asset, but his situation isn't ripe for immediate production.
