EricksonAt the risk of being a total square, what exactly have the Jets done to merit being road favorites?
PianowskiI came up with last week's picks easily; this week was difficult. But there's nothing predictive about either observation.
LissI just have a weird feeling the Chiefs are going to beat New Orleans, but my best bet is the Raiders who have to be the sharp play as no one wants any part of them. The Eagles-Cardinals is the most interesting line on the board - not a whole lot of credit being given for the upset in New England apparently.
Stopa Eventually, Vegas will have to admit this is the 2012 Bucs, not the 2011 version, and until they do, I'm going to keep taking Tampa. Same goes for the Saints, except in reverse - I'll continue to fade them until Vegas adjusts to the 2012 version. Getting to buy the Chiefs low against NO is just a bonus... I'll fade the hype coming out of DC. I think the Bengals are better than the Redskins, particularly with Wash losing two defensive starters this week, so I'll take the half-point hook... Jaguars are best bet because teams like the Colts don't win two weeks in a row, and teams like the Jaguars bounce back against bad teams after getting crushed. That's how the NFL works. ... I also like the Giants quite a bit. Carolina beating the Saints didn't impress me, and I'll be surprised if the Giants don't win outright. That line should be more like Giants -3.
Del DonThere are nine games with a spread three points or fewer and three others at four, which is pretty crazy. As such, I found the week difficult to handicap. I also like the Broncos but made the Colts my best bet for the second week in a row. But I didn't particularly love any.
