The Preview
It's time to fade the party animals as the PGA Tour posts up in Las Vegas for a two-week stint, with the upcoming CJ Cup transitioning to Shadow Creek following the usual Shriners Hospitals for Children Open hosted by TPC Summerlin. Birdies figure to come in bunches this week as the Shriners champion has reached at least 20-under-par in eight of the last 10 editions of this event. We're also being treated to a more intriguing list of attendees among the 144 entrants compared to recent weeks, as several top-10 players such as Webb Simpson and Collin Morikawa plan to tee it up in the desert. We'll now take a look at a handful of other names who could make some noise in Sin City this week.

Bryson DeChambeau - $50
Coming off his six-shot win at the U.S. Open, DeChambeau will show up to TPC Summerlin as the clearcut betting favorite, yet he's somehow not the only player listed at the maximum $50 salary on Yahoo. DeChambeau gained a whopping 17.9 strokes from tee to green during his maiden major victory at Winged Foot, and he's now gained strokes off the tee in 20 consecutive measured events. Additionally, the World No. 6 has enjoyed past success here at the Shriners, stringing together results of T7-Win-T4 from 2017 to 2019.
Patrick Cantlay - $44
While DeChambeau resides atop the odds board, Cantlay earns the horse for the course award among this crew with finishes of 2-2-Win at TPC Summerlin since 2017. He hasn't lost strokes from tee to green in any tournament since the 2019 TOUR Championship, and his best SG: Putting performances have come on bentgrass greens like the ones we'll see this week in Vegas.
Glue Guys
Sergio Garcia - $36
After missing the cut in three of four events from the PGA Championship through the U.S. Open, Garcia returned to the winner's circle on the PGA Tour for the first time since his 2017 Masters victory at last week's Sanderson Farms Championship. The Spaniard stuck a clutch approach shot to less than three feet on his 72nd hole at the Country Club of Jackson to ultimately secure the one-shot win over Peter Malnati. Garcia also paced the entire field in SG: Off-the-Tee, SG: Tee-to-Green and GIR percentage, amassing 23 total par-breakers in the process. Garcia has gained an average of 4.8 strokes from tee to green per event over his last 10 measured starts.
Jason Kokrak - $30
Kokrak is currently riding a streak of four consecutive top-20s from the Wyndham Championship to the U.S. Open, and he's gained strokes both off the tee and on his approach shots in six straight starts. He's also gained 8.5 strokes with the flat stick over his past eight rounds, so his entire game appears sharp heading into the Shriners Open, where he's made the cut five years in a row.
Bargain Bin
Keegan Bradley - $24
Bradley found himself perched alone atop the leaderboard by two shots halfway through the Sanderson Farms Championship last week, and although he didn't record a podium finish, he still ranked fourth in FIR percentage, sixth in driving distance, sixth in scrambling and seventh in SG: T2G en route to a T4. Bradley tied for seventh at TPC Summerlin in 2016 while reaching 15-under-par, and he's now 13th in SG: Approach throughout his last 36 rounds.
Tyler McCumber - $20
Aside from a T29 at the Barracuda Championship in early August, McCumber had been a mess since the PGA Tour's restart at the Charles Schwab Challenge earlier in the summer before notching back-to-back top-6s at the Corales and Sanderson Farms Championship. Last week in Mississippi, McCumber averaged only four birdies per round but boosted his daily fantasy output by adding a pair of eagles as well. He ranked fourth in SG: Approach and third in driving distance, but he also impressively led the field in scrambling.
