NHL Monday Night: Top Betting Picks and Parlay Insights
New York Islanders
at New Jersey Devils
The Islanders (7-6-2) and the Devils (11-4-0) meet at 7 p.m. ET at Prudential Center in Newark, N.J. on ESPN+.
The Isles obliterated the rival Rangers at Madison Square Garden last time out Saturday, 5-0, cashing as a moderate underdog (+135) as the Under (6) cashed. Ilya Sorokin stopped 33 shots he faced, while Bo Horvat scored two goals, and Jean-Gabriel Pageau scored an empty-net goal with two assists.
The Devils won 2-1 in a shootout against the Pittsburgh Penguins as heavy favorites (-175) and the Under (6.5) cashed on Saturday. Jersey has won two in a row, also scoring a 4-3 OTW against Montreal on Thursday. At home, New Jersey has won all seven games, outscoring the opposition 21-10, with the past three wins coming by a single goal.
Let's roll with the Devils at home, pairing it with the Under.

- Under 6.5 Goals (-130 at DraftKings Sportsbook)

Nashville Predators
at New York Rangers
The Predators (5-8-4) and Rangers (7-7-2) meet at Madison Square Garden at 7 p.m. ET.
Something's gotta give here, as the Predators are 1-3-2 in six road games, and the Rangers are 0-6-1 at home, while going 7-1-1 on the road for some of the most amazing early-season splits you're ever going to see.
Nashville hasn't been doing great anywhere lately, going 0-2-2 in the past four games, and 1-5-2 in the previous eight outings, allowing three or more goals in eight of the past nine outings.
The Blueshirts were tripped up 5-0 by the rival Isles at home, and they've been shut out in back-to-back home games at MSG, and an amazing five times in front of the home fans in seven tries.
Igor Shesterkin (4-6-2, 2.42 GAA, .909 save percentage, 1 SO) deserves a much better fate, and against the Predators, he should finally be able to get that elusive first home victory. But can the Rangers get some offense for him? New York has just six total goals in seven home games, with five of them coming in a 6-5 OTL against the Sharks on Oct. 23. As such, let's go Under on the total, and based on the inability for the Rangers to score and win at home, you can't risk nearly two times your potential return on the moneyline. Back the Predators on the puck line as underdogs.
- Predators +1.5 Goals (-162 at DraftKings Sportsbook)
- Under 5.5 Goals (+110 at DraftKings Sportsbooks)
Columbus Blue Jackets
at Edmonton Oilers
The Blue Jackets (7-7-0) and the Oilers (6-6-4) meet at Rogers Place, with a puck drop of 8:30 p.m. ET.
Columbus makes the fourth stop of a five-game trip, and it hopes the fourth time is a charm. It lost 4-3 in Vancouver on Saturday, and the Blue Jackets have dropped the first three games by a combined 12-6, with the total going 1-1-1. The three-game losing streak follows a four-game win streak.
Edmonton was bombarded 9-1 by the visiting Colorado Avalanche last time out Saturday, and it is 0-2-1 in the past three games. The Over is 5-2 in the past seven games for the Oilers. Edmonton has allowed three or more goals in three in a row, and eight of the past nine outings, allowing 4.2 GPG in the nine-game span.
In this series, Columbus has won five of the past seven meetings, with the Over holding a 5-3 edge in the previous eight installments. Still, Edmonton is 4-1 in the past five at home vs. Columbus, outscoring the Blue Jackets 21-10. Let's back the Oilers on the puck line, and we'll go Over.
- Oilers -1.5 Goals (+124 at FanDuel Sportsbook)
- Over 6.5 Goals (-115 at DraftKings and FanDuel Sportsbooks)
Florida Panthers
at Vegas Golden Knights
The Panthers (7-7-1) and Golden Knights (7-3-4) meet at T-Mobile Arena at 10 p.m. ET.
Florida hasn't been hitting on all cylinders, especially on the road, going 2-6-0. To be fair, it is trying to tread water with Aleksander Barkov sidelined indefinitely, and Matthew Tkachuk out until the holidays, too. Those are two big offensive pieces to do without for a long period.
Vegas was tripped up 4-3 in OT against Anaheim Saturday, and VGK is just 1-2-1 in the past four games, all at home.
Florida won 3-0 in Sunrise against Vegas in the first meeting Oct. 25, as Sergei Bobrovsky kicked aside all 17 shots he faced, while Sam Reinhart, Cole Schwindt and A.J. Greer provided the offense.
Akira Schmid (6-1-1, 2.51, .901 SV%, 1 SO) has been a godsend, while Adin Hill (lower body) has been sidelined due to an LBI.
Let's side with Vegas to get revenge for that early-season shutout loss, and we'll go low on the total.
