SLATE PREVIEW
Vegas (vs. Boston), Los Angeles (vs. Pittsburgh), Dallas (vs. Vancouver), Carolina (at Anaheim) and Edmonton (at NY Islanders) are the biggest favorites on the Moneyline. The Over/Under for the Avalanche-Blue Jackets, Hurricanes-Ducks and Bruins-Golden Knights is 6.5 goals, while the Predators-Canadiens, Panthers-Devils, Rangers-Maple Leafs and Canucks-Stars is 6.0 goals. The remainder of the matchups expect 5.5 goals to be scored.
GOALIES
Sam Montembeault, MTL vs. NSH ($8,000): Montembeault hasn't dazzled with his numbers this season, but he has won two of his three starts. He has also been solid against the Predators in his career, posting a 4-1-0 record, a 2.76 GAA and a .917 save percentage across five appearances. He stopped all 29 shots he faced in a 3-0 shutout victory against Nashville on Dec. 5 last season.
Stuart Skinner, EDM at NYI ($8,000): Skinner is coming off a 30-save shutout win over the Rangers on Tuesday. He has won two of his previous three meetings with the Islanders while posting a 2.34 GAA and a .908 save percentage. The Isles have averaged the second-most shots per game (36.0) this campaign, but rank 28th in the league with 2.33 goals per game.
VALUE PLAYS/ONE-OFFS
Leon Draisaitl, EDM at NYI ($8,100): After posting two goals and one assist in the first two games of the season, Draisaitl didn't have a point in Tuesday's 2-0 win over the Rangers. However, he will probably get back on track in Thursday's contest. Draisaitl has 13 goals on 51 shots and 22 points across 17 previous appearances against the Islanders.
Jack Hughes, NJD vs. FLA ($7,700): Hughes has two assists and eight shots on goal through three games. He didn't register a shot on net in Monday's 3-2 win over Columbus after having seven the game before. Hughes has accounted for four tallies, 32 shots and seven helpers in 11 career contests against the Panthers.
Cole Caufield, MTL vs. NSH ($6,500): Caufield has three goals on 12 shots and two assists over his three-game point streak. He has one marker and two helpers on the power play during that stretch. Caufield has compiled four goals, eight points and 31 shots in eight previous meetings versus Nashville.
Mark Stone, VGK vs. BOS ($5,200): Stone has collected six assists during his season-opening five-game point spree. He has nine shots on target, four blocked shots and four power-play helpers over that span. Stone has compiled 10 goals, 55 shots and 24 points in 25 regular-season outings against Boston.
Erik Haula, NSH at MTL ($2,900): Haula has two goals on five shots and two assists during his four-game point streak. Despite occupying a third-line role, he has been productive to begin his tenure with the Predators and could be a decent value play.
FORWARD LINE STACKS
Avalanche at Blue Jackets
Nathan MacKinnon, COL at CBJ ($9,000), Martin Necas (W - $6,800), Artturi Lehkonen (W - $5,900)
MacKinnon and Necas have had red-hot starts to the 2025-26 campaign. MacKinnon has amassed four goals on 15 shots and four assists during a three-game point streak, while Necas has three goals, nine shots and five helpers during his four-game point spree. Lehkonen has earned a modest two tallies, nine shots and one assist through four outings.
MacKinnon makes Colorado's top line a pricey option for Thursday's slate, but they could be worth spending up for on this occasion. Columbus is tied with five other teams for 15th in the league in goals against per game (3.0) while giving up the second-most shots per game (37.3).
Golden Knights vs. Bruins
Tomas Hertl (C - $5,300), Mitch Marner (W - $6,500), Pavel Dorofeyev (W - $6,100)
Hertl notched one goal and one assist in Tuesday's 4-2 win over Calgary. Marner had two helpers and four shots in the contest, and Dorofeyev was held off the scoresheet for the first time this season. Still, he has a league-leading five goals this season.
Vegas' second line has plenty of bang for the buck appeal if the trio carries over some momentum from Tuesday's performance. The Bruins have been better in the early going this campaign, but could have their hands full against a deep Golden Knights lineup.
DEFENSEMEN
Thomas Harley, DAL vs. VAN ($5,500): Harley has filled the stat sheet with one goal, four assists, 13 shots and 12 blocks during his three-game point streak. He also collected one goal, two assists and five shots in three games against the Canucks last season.
Alexander Nikishin, CAR at ANA ($4,000): Nikishin has contributed an assist in three straight games to begin the 2025-26 campaign. He also has six shots on goal and four blocked shots.
