Julija Stoliarenko

Lithuania

Low output in loss
BantamweightUFC
August 9, 2020
Stoliarenko lost to Yana Kinitskaya via unanimous decision (26-30, 27-30, 27-30) at UFC on ESPN+ 32 on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
It's not often a fighter goes a full 15 minutes and manages just six significant strikes, but that's exactly what happened here. Kunitskaya had 43 significant strikes in comparison, and won the battle of total strikes 209-to-30. Stoliarenko was simply overpowered in the clinch for much of this fight, and while she did threaten with an armbar late in the second round, the fight was otherwise all Kunitskaya. The 27-year-old falls to 9-4-2 as a professional, and isn't really a major factor in the bantamweight division.

Doesn't do enough in UFC debut
BantamweightUFC

Stoliarenko lost to Leah Letson via split decision (28-29, 29-28, 28-29) at The Ultimate Fighter 28 Finale in Las Vegas on Friday.
ANALYSIS
Stoliarenko didn't seem to have much of a gameplan for this one, choosing to stand with the far superior striker for much of the bout, which resulted in the Lithuanian missing badly from range and eating hard shots. It wasn't all bad news for Stoliarenko, as she landed a nice elbow and tried to finish the fight with a guillotine in the final round but she never had her opponent in any kind of danger. Stoliarenko made waves on The Ultimate Fighter due to her incredible comeback victory against Marcia Allen but she will need to improve on the feet before she can be considered a legitimate prospect. She falls to 4-3-2 in professional MMA as a result of the loss.
