West Ham United 1-5 Chelsea
Chelsea Hammer West Ham as Joao Pedro Shines
Cole Palmer's warm-up injury was disappointing for many FPL managers, but it did allow Joao Pedro to feature in a bigger role. He had 39 touches as the No. 10 behind Delap compared to the 23 he had in Gameweek 1. He popped up everywhere in his 15-point performance, including a goal and assist coming from his positioning during corners.
Estevao swapped in for Palmer late and will have an important part to play for Chelsea this season.
Manchester City 0-2 Spurs
Spurs Defeat Man City: Richarlison and Sarr Impress
When Spurs beat Burnley comfortably in Gameweek 1, it was always going to be this performance against Man City to see if their spell against PSG in the Super Cup was the real deal.
Richarlison caused chaos for the City back line with an assist for the opening goal and also piling on the pressure for the second goal, which caused the mistake. His eight shots and chance created across two games will make it hard for Thomas Frank to drop him, even with a healthier Dominic Solanke.
Spurs' midfield diversity is also something that will allow Frank to rotate depending on the opponent. Pape Sarr has been central to that in the first two games, assisting in the first match and being a pass away from a big chance if Brennan Johnson had been a little more unselfish.
Burnley 2-0 Sunderland
Don't underestimate any of the promoted sides
After two gameweeks, all three promoted sides have picked up a win, helped by the fact that these two sides met in the second game of the season.
Burnley showed their solidity in defense last season when they only conceded 16 goals and found a source of goals against their fellow promoted side.
The big worry for Sunderland will be the absence of Daniel Ballard after he went down early in this match. He was close to producing an assist when he headed the ball across the face of the goal to Simon Adingra from a set piece. His presence as an attacking threat on sets is key to note, as long as his injury isn't too serious.
Brentford 1-0 Aston Villa
Villa are struggling to produce quality chances
Morgan Rogers and Ollie Watkins were popular FPL picks from the beginning of the season, and Villa are one of only two teams yet to score. Across the two matches, they have only created two big chances.
Watkins, who scored 16 goals last season, has only had one shot on target, while Rogers has failed to have any shots on target with just two chances created. After another slow summer in terms of transfers, the only positive for Villa is their upcoming schedule.
Bournemouth 1-0 Wolves
Wolves are one of the early teams to target
Bournemouth picked up their first win of the season, but the question is whether Wolves are going to be a team to target every game going forward.
They conceded four on the opening day against Man City, and many thought it was simply because of opponent, but they struggled defensively against Bournemouth.
Bournemouth took 14 shots in the game, and after the red card to Toti Gomes, the win was secured. The suspension of Gomes will be a big miss in subsequent games, though they have decent depth on the back line.
Marcus Tavernier has shown his quality as a potential FPL asset at only $5.5m following a deflected finish that brings him to 15 points from the first two matches.
Arsenal 5-0 Leeds United
Arsenal's Viktor Gyokeres Scores Twice in Big Leeds Win
Gyokeres scored his first two Premier League goals despite a difficult first appearance against Man United. He missed a good chance early on, but his opening goal showed what he's capable of, using his power to take advantage of the space he was given by the Leeds defense. His penalty goal came late in added time and was a little bit soft for very little contact on the youngster, Max Dowman.
While Eberechi Eze was in the stands, it was worrying to see Martin Odegaard and Bukayo Saka go off with injuries following the injury to Kai Havertz last week.
Everton 2-0 Brighton
Everton Celebrate New Stadium with Grealish Brilliance
Jack Grealish has always been fun to watch, and it was great to see him back to his attacking best with two assists as Everton welcomed their new stadium in style. With three chances created, only Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall and Yankuba Minteh created more in the game.
Jordan Pickford got his first clean sheet of the season and made a strong penalty save to secure the victory, as he tries to chase his 12 clean sheets from last season.
Crystal Palace 1-1 Nottingham Forest
Crystal Palace vs Nottingham Forest: Sarr Steps Up
Crystal Palace had a lot of change this week. They played their first European game Thursday and were without Eze as his transfer to Arsenal was confirmed. This added stress on the squad could cause them difficulties in the coming weeks, but they were serviceable in this match.
Sarr looked particularly dangerous with his first goal of the season, and he also could have won a penalty later in the game but was marginally offside.
After a brace in Gameweek 1, Chris Wood failed to have a shot on target in this game.
Fulham 1-1 Manchester United
Positioning problems for Manchester United
Man United looked great in their opening game against Arsenal but couldn't get the ball into the back of the net. Against Fulham, they struggled to find an attacking structure. Benjamin Sesko has yet to start a match, and they missed that focal point in the middle in the early stages.
Bruno Fernandes, the club captain, is playing in a deeper role, and despite the missed penalty, found it hard to contribute to the attack in the same way he's done in the past. Amad Diallo has been important for United in the past year but didn't look fully comfortable in the wing-back position en route to just 52 minutes played before being yanked for Diogo Dalot.
Fulham have returned to the habits of last year, with both of their goals this season coming in the second half from substitutes.
Newcastle 2-3 Liverpool
Liverpool Edge Newcastle but Defensive Worries Continue
Liverpool haven't had problems scoring goals but continue to look shaky in defense. In both games, they've taken a 2-0 lead and been brought back to 2-2. They've had particular issues with set pieces and crosses coming into the box. The long throw from Valentino Livramento caused them all sorts of issues, and if there was a proper Newcastle striker in the first half, it could have led to goals before Ryan Gravenberch took the lead.
Also, what an introduction by Rio Ngumoha to score the winning goal in the 100th minute on his Premier League debut while just 16 years old.
The Anthony Gordon red card and injuries to Joelinton, Sandro Tonali and Fabian Schar will leave the thin Newcastle squad even thinner if any of the injuries are serious.
