The Skinny
The teams with the two best records in the NBA square off in Uncasville on Friday evening. Five different players reached double-digit outputs for LAs Vegas in their last game Tuesday versus the Mercury, with, unsurprisingly, Liz Cambage ad A'ja Wilson leading the way at 19 points apiece. They carry a four-game winning streak into Friday's matchup, with a home victory over the Sun marking the beginning of that stretch. Wilson was not available for that game, but she dominated the first meeting to the tune of 19 points and nine boards. Liz Cambage has fared extremely well, averaging 17.5 points and nine rebounds despite playing just 20 minutes per game between the two meetings. A full workload could expand that output Friday.
Las Vegas has proven to be vulnerable to blocks and steals this season (slate-high 5.6 opponent blocks per game), but that's the biggest glaring defensive struggle of the team's defense this campaign. Jonquel Jones has taken advantage of that weakness in the first two clashes, averaging three blocks and three steals to go along with a double-double (12 points and 12.5 boards). She's likely the primary focus of the fantasy realm for the Sun, but it's worth noting that she scored just eight points the last time the two clubs met and Aces center Liz Cambage was limited in the first contest of the season. The scoring wealth was distributed pretty evenly across the board in the Aug. 11 game between the two squads, with Courtney Williams leading the way at just 13 points. She posted her second-best fantasy output of the year the first time these two teams played, making Williams a potential sleeper candidate.

The Skinny
On the flip side, two of the three worst teams by record in the Western Conference square off as well Friday. Atlanta is in the midst of a 12-game losing streak, though the Dream have kept seven of those contests, including three of the last four, within single digits. Brittney Sykes posted one of her better fantasy outputs of the campaign in the last meeting between the two clubs, racking up 18 points and six boards off the bench. Now back in a starting role, an improvement on that effort is not off the table. Elizabeth Williams will miss her second straight game for the Dream, which allowed Alaina Coates to play 21 minutes in the last contest. Minutes were spread around more than usual in that contest, so it's tough to call how the rotation will play out Friday.
Amanda Zahui B returned to 22 minutes Tuesday against the Fever, notching seven points and four boards in her first game back. She could see a slight boost inside thanks to Williams' absence, but Kia Nurse, Tina Charles and Bria Hartley continue to lead the way int eh scoring department for the Liberty. Charles went off for 24 points in the last game between the two clubs, while Brittany boyd chipped in with 15 points, seven boards four assists and a steal. However, Boyd has since been demoted to a bench role and seems unlikely to repeat that effort. Hartley didn't play in that game but could be a candidate for a big showing Friday.
