PITCHER
Jon Gray, COL at MIA ($8,200): While he pitches half of his games at Coors Field, Gray has largely been an effective pitcher with a 10.39 K/9 rate and a 1.16 WHIP. His ERA sits at 4.70, but that can largely be attributed to giving up five home runs in 28.2 innings at home this season. Gray goes on the road Friday and faces off against the Marlins in a much better pitchers' park. Throwing out a dud in St. Louis, he's scored 39, 63, 36, 46, 51, 36 and 45 fantasy points in his last seven games. The Marlins have haven't displayed much power against right-handed pitching this season, owning the second worst ISO at .133.
CATCHER
Alex Avila, CWS at CLE ($2,500): Avila has started to heat up at the plate, scoring at least six fantasy points in seven straight games, including one with 40.9 thanks to two home runs. He will next face off against Trevor Bauer, who has given up a .325 wOBA at home this season. The key here is that BvP stats that show Avila has gone 6-for-10 against Bauer with two walks and a home run. Welington Castillo ($2,900) against Adam Morgan in Philadelphia is in play as well.
FIRST BASE:
Tommy Joseph, PHI vs ARI ($2,900): Joseph has taken over the starting first base job from Ryan Howard, who is making $25.6 million this season. Joseph went through a bit of a rough patch with an 0-for-16 slump, but he went 1-for-4 with a run scored Thursday. He's gone 6-for-14 with two walks at home against lefties this season, translating to a .488 wOBA. His opponent, Robbie Ray, has given up a .374 wOBA to right-handed hitters this season.
SECOND BASE
Neil Walker NYM vs ATL ($3,300): While this isn't the cheapest price, it's worth noting how thin the position is and that there are nine other second baseman with a higher price. Walker has been hitting in the cleanup spot and promptly delivered a two-run homer Thursday night off Juan Nicasio. The matchup looks just as favorable Friday, as he squares off against John Gant, who isn't a big prospect and has struggled in the majors this season with a 5.63 ERA and a 1.75 WHIP.
THIRD BASE
Justin Turner, LAD vs MIL ($3,100):Turner is finally heating up at the plate after a slow start, going 9-for-32 (.281) with two doubles and three home runs over his last eight games. Last season, he had a whooping .448 wOBA at home against right-handed pitching, and opposing starter Zach Davies has struggled on the road, allowing 11 earned runs over 12.2 innings away from Miller Park, including two home runs.
SHORTSTOP
Carlos Correa, HOU vs CIN ($3,800): Ok, this really isn't a value pick given that Correa is the third-most expensive shortstop along with Manny Machado. In fact, an Astros stack with Correa, Altuve, Springer and Gattis would seem to be wise given their home matchup against lefty John Lamb, who has given up a .427 wOBA on the road to right-handed hitters this season and has struggled against lefties too.
OUTFIELD
Ryan Raburn, COL at MIA ($3,000): It seems like whenever the Rockies face a southpaw at home everyone remembers to use Raburn, but on the road he seems like a forgotten man. He's been hitting cleanup against lefties and opposing starter Adam Conley has been worse at home than on the road this season. Raburn has a .406 wOBA on the road against left-handed pitching, and for his career his mark against lefties sits at .356.
Franklin Gutierrez, SEA at BOS ($3,000): Gutierrez is in the same boat as Raburn, a good bat to use whenever he faces a lefty. He typically hits second in the order when that's the case, and he gets Roenis Elias, who gave up a .333 wOBA last season to right-handed hitters while Gutierrez has a .358 wOBA on the road against lefties this season.
Peter O'Brien, ($2,500) or Brandon Drury ($2,200) ARI at PHI: It'll be interesting to see who gets the start, and going against lefty Adam Morgan could mean they both make their way into the lineup. Both have the expected favorable right-handed vs. left-handed pitcher split, and Drury had a .387 wOBA last season against lefties. O'Brien is something of a prospect, hitting 17 home runs in the minors this season, but he has only gone 1-for-15 since being called up to the big club. The important note is the one hit was a 433-foot homer against a left-handed hitter. Philadelphia is still a favorable hitters' park and both are worth consideration.
