We have a stellar seven-game slate for Tuesday. I like a few props for today's slate. One is an assists prop, and four are rebounds props. Before we dive into things, I'd like to share that I don't place bets unless I believe they likely cash and have perceived value. What do I mean when I say 'perceived value'? I do research and find statistics that back up the stance I am willing to take when making these bets. For all the props I mention in this article, I put 1 unit (1% of my betting bankroll) each as I choose to take chances like these responsibly. Let's discuss!
Let's start with the contest with the Indiana Pacers, who host the Los Angeles Clippers as home underdogs (+123 Moneyline). Despite this game having a projected total of 232 points, the second-highest on the slate, the Domantas Sabonis UNDER 5.5 Assists (+116) prop statistically makes a lot of sense. The Clippers play at the second-slowest pace in the NBA. Also, Los Angeles allows the fewest assists per game to opposing power forwards with 2.9. From a team defensive standpoint, The Clippers are 10th in the NBA in points per game allowed and 10th in defensive efficiency.
Sticking with the contest between the Pacers and the Clippers, a couple of rebounding props are of interest. Los Angeles will be without Kawhi Leonard (averages 6.6 rebounds per game), Serge Ibaka (averages 6.7 rebounds per game), and Patrick Beverley (averages 3.6 rebounds per game). Indiana is 29th in the NBA in total rebounding percentage while allowing 8.0 rebounds per game to opposing small forwards and 11.0 rebounds per game to opposing power forwards. These statistics favor Marcus Morris Sr. to go OVER 4.5 Rebounds (-113). The Pacers also allow 6.4 rebounds per game to opposing point guards, which sets up nicely for Reggie Jackson to go OVER 3.5 Rebounds (-107).
Next up, we have the Charlotte Hornets as 2.0-point home favorites against the Los Angeles Lakers. The Hornets are 26th in the NBA in total rebounding percentage, allow 7.9 rebounds per game to opposing small forwards and 10.7 rebounds per game to opposing power forwards. The Lakers are still playing without LeBron James and Anthony Davis, which leaves plenty of opportunities to grab additional rebounds. This looks like a good spot for the Kyle Kuzma OVER 5.5 Rebounds (-113) prop.
On the other side of this matchup, there is upside with healthy Hornets as teammates Gordon Hayward, LaMelo Ball, and Malik Monk are all inactive for tonight's game. The Lakers allow 6.8 rebounds per game to opposing shooting guards, the fourth-highest in the NBA, and allow 6.3 rebounds per game to opposing point guards. Devonte' Graham alternates between the shooting guard and point guard position and looks pretty likely to see many usages while his teammates are sidelined. Graham to go over 2.5 rebounds looks like a reasonable proposition.
