Pelicans Battle Grizzlies in MLK Day Showdown
The New Orleans Pelicans take on the Memphis Grizzlies at FedEx Forum on Monday afternoon.

The Pelicans (21-25) come into Monday's contest not exactly in the best of spirits, as they've not only dropped three of their last four games, but they've also lost Anthony Davis for the next 1-2 weeks due to a sprained index finger. Their most recent stumble came at the hands of the Portland Trail Blazers, which bested them by a 128-112 score on Friday night. Davis led the way with 27 points, adding seven rebounds, two assists and one block before suffering his injury. Jrue Holiday supplied 20 points, six assists, two rebounds and one steal. Julius Randle managed 19 points, nine rebounds, four assists, two blocks and one steal. E'Twaun Moore generated 17 points and two rebounds. Nikola Mirotic delivered 13 points, three rebounds, two assists and two blocks.

Davis is the only injury, albeit a monumental one, for the Pelicans going into Monday's game.

The Grizzlies (19-27) aren't exactly in great shape themselves coming into Monday's contest, as they've dropped five consecutive games, and 11 of their last 12 overall. Memphis' most recent disappointment came at the hands of the Toronto Raptors, which walloped them by a 119-90 score on Saturday night. Jaren Jackson, Jr. paced the Grizzlies with 16 points, supplementing them with nine rebounds and one assist. Shelvin Mack collected 14 points, five assists, three rebounds and one steal. Ivan Rabb registered 13 points, 11 rebounds, one assist and one block. Mike Conley collected 10 points, three assists, two rebounds and one steal. Garrett Temple and Omri Casspi pitched in matching eight-point tallies.

The Grizzlies will continue to be without Kyle Anderson (ankle), Chandler Parsons (knee) and Joakim Noah (personal) on Monday. Marc Gasol (back) will listed as probable.

Monday's game marks the third of four meetings between the teams this season. The series is tied 1-1, with the Grizzlies notching a 107-103 win Dec. 7 and the Pelicans countering with a 114-95 victory Jan. 7.
