Pistons Top Magic For First Win Of The Season
The Detroit Pistons defeated the visiting Orlando Magic, 110-103, at Little Caesars Arena on Saturday evening.

The contest got out to a competitive start, but the Pistons took a five-point lead after one quarter. They pushed their lead up to nine, early in the second, but the Magic rallied back to cut it to a one-point game by halftime. The Magic stayed strong to start the third and took a seven-point lead mid way through the quarter, before the Pistons closed the quarter on a, 27-11, run to take a nine-point lead into the final frame. They kept the momentum going and pushed their lead to a game-high 18 points, with five minutes left in the contest, which was enough for the Pistons to close out their first win of the season.

First-overall pick, Cade Cunningham made his NBA debut and finished with just two points on 1-of-8 shooting, in 19 minutes. Jerami Grant led the way for the Pistons with 22 points, seven rebounds, five assists and a steal. Kelly Olynyk followed up with 18 points, six rebounds, four assists, three steals and two blocks, while Josh Jackson chipped in 13 points, seven rebounds, two assists, two steals and a block, off the bench.

Meanwhile, Franz Wagner led the Magic with 19 points on 8-of-15 shooting, in 28 minutes. Cole Anthony followed up with 15 points, 10 rebounds and three assists, while Moritz Wagner chipped in 13 points and five rebounds, off the bench.

The Pistons (1-4) will be right back in action, as they take on the Nets in Brooklyn on Sunday.
