Fergus claimed his second-career pole in GT Daytona Friday at VIR, in a flying effort for the Compass Racing driver. Fergus took his No. 76 McLaren 720S GT3 to a quick lap of 1:45.236 to edge out the No. 96 Turner Motorsport BMW M6 GT3 of
Robby Foley by 0.074 seconds,

ANALYSIS
In a bit of an upset, Fergus took a late lap in the qualifying session and bumped Foley and the No. 96 BMW from atop the scoring pylon at Virginia International Raceway Friday. It was his second pole of the season and second of his career. Fergus and co-pilot, Paul Holton, will seek their first podium finish of the season Saturday afternoon at VIR.
