Haley ran into early trouble and finished 39th in the Verizon 200 NASCAR Cup Series race at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway road course Sunday afternoon.
Haley started 15th on the grid and was looking to build on that great finish he registered on the Chicago street course a few weeks ago. The young driver would run into trouble on lap 2 when Haley and Joey Logano
's machines would side-bump each other navigating turn 6. Haley's No. 31 Chevrolet would get into the tire barriers hard, but would return to action after some pit road service. The young driver would fall 3 laps down to the leaders due to the incident and finish a disappointing 39th-place on the day.
