Preview

After a win at Antigua, India look to seal 120 points in the World Test Championship as they take on West Indies at Kingston. Indian batsman have had a decent crack in the middle but the openers are yet to strike good form. The biggest news from the batting department is that Ajinkya Rahane is back in good touch. The bowling has been sharp and exceptional and Jasprit Bumrah and Ishant Sharma will once again be at the forefront of the attack. West Indies, on the other hand, need a lift with their batting and need to fine tune their bowling which is threatening but also wayward at times.

Weather report:

Humidity is high on all days and there are chances of rain on days four and five. The temperature could be around in and around 32°C.

Pitch report:

The pitch is result oriented with only one draw since 2000 at the venue in 17 matches. Teams batting first have had a slight advantage at Sabina Park of late as the pitch has slowed down on days four and five.

Injuries and replacements:

Miguel Cummins out, Keemo Paul in.

Probable Playing XI:

India:

India are likely to stick their playing XI which means that Ravindra Jadeja would continue to keep Ravichandran Ashwin out. Ishant Sharma, Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Shami will be the pacers again unless India want to

India:

India are likely to stick their playing XI which means that Ravindra Jadeja would continue to keep Ravichandran Ashwin out. Ishant Sharma, Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Shami will be the pacers again unless India want to try Umesh Yadav to give Bumrah a break or bring in Ashwin as a second spinner.

Mayank Agarwal, KL Rahul, Cheteshwar Pujara, Virat Kohli (C), Hanuma Vihari, Rishabh Pant (WK), Ajinkya Rahane, Ravindra Jadeja, Ishant Sharma, Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Shami

West Indies

Rakheem Cornwall could make a Test debut finally while the core of the pace attack will likely remain similar. Cornwall could replace Cummins. If Cornwall plays, there may be no room for Shamarh Brooks or Keemo Paul. Shane Dowrich is still injured so Hope will keep wickets.

Kraigg Brathwaite, John Campbell, Darren Bravo, Shai Hope (WK), Shimron Hetmyer, Roston Chase, Shamarh Brooks, Rakheem Cornwall, Jason Holder (C), Shannon Gabriel, Kemar Roach

Top picks:

Wicket-keeper: Shai Hope (9.5 credits)

Easily the best batsman in the West Indian side in terms of talent, Hope needs a big knock to boost his self confidence and it could come soon at Kingston. He has had a look at the Indian attack and on a truer surface, will be a tough competitor.

Batsman: Cheteshwar Pujara (10.5 credits)

Pujara was knocked over by Kemar Roach in both the innings at Antigua but the outstanding Test batsman he is, the No. 3 would have ironed out all flaws in his batting. Expect him to put up a screaming performance at Kingston.

All-rounder: Ravindra Jadeja (9 credits)

Although Holder remains a tempting pick from West Indies in the all-rounder category, we chose to go with Jadeja who has been in good form with bat and ball. Expect him to trouble some of West Indies premier top-order batsmen on a surface expected to turn more.

Bowler: Shannon Gabriel (8.5 credits)

Bumrah and Ishant are no brainers in this category but it's Shannon Gabriel who would give you an x-factor. Kemar Roach might have stolen the limelight at Antigua but it's Gabriel who has been at the forefront of West Indies' fast bowling renaissance.

Captaincy options: Virat Kohli, Jasprit Bumrah, Ravindra Jadeja, Roston Chase
