We're kicking off the first leg of what will be one of many double-weeks this season and honestly, we're not complaining! A full, non-stop week of EuroLeague action is always a treat. However, this packed schedule also brings a fair share of imbalances. The most obvious example is Eight games on Tuesday, but only two on Wednesday, which will deeply affect the way our fantasy picks play out.
If you have any questions or comments about strategy or the picks below, feel free to drop those at the bottom of this article or reach out on X via @RotoWireEuro.
Let's hope the strategy we've built pays off and helps everyone maximize their scores!
Guard
Vasilije Micic, Hapoel IBI Tel-Aviv (15.8 credits)
Although Micic started the season below expectations in terms of his personal performance, the same cannot be said for EuroLeague's newcomer, Hapoel. After finishing last season as EuroCup champions, Hapoel has made an ambitious start to their EuroLeague journey, currently sitting at the top of the standings with a 5–1 record. Over the course of six games, we have seen glimpses of the former EuroLeague MVP returning to his old form -- most recently in last week's home game against Monaco, where he led his team with 22 points. Micic is clearly trending upward and looks set to keep improving with each Round.
Codi Miller-McIntyre, Crvena Zvezda Meridianbet Belgrade (11.2 credits)
In the absence of Devonte Graham and Tyson Carter, Miller-McIntyre delivered a strong performance against his former team, Baskonia, posting a 21 PIR and proving to be a dominant presence on the floor. With new head coach Sasa Obradovic already showing great trust in his decision-making and playmaking, Miller-McIntyre looks like the floor general Red Star wants and needs. Their upcoming Round 7 matchup against ASVEL presents a perfect opportunity for him to maintain his impressive form.
Maodo Lo, Zalgiris Kaunas (9.7 credits)
In Thursday's win over Barcelona, Nigel Williams-Goss started off hot, scoring four quick points within the first minute and a half. However, he picked up a hamstring injury shortly thereafter and will miss both games this week. Lo picked up the where Williams-Goss left off, and in his team's statement win he shined as the best player, posting 20 points, three rebounds and five assists in just 19 minutes. In the Round 7 matchup against Virtus in Kaunas, head coach Tomas Masiulis will likely reward Lo with extended minutes after his outstanding performance against Barcelona.
Sebastian Herrera, Paris Basketball (4.9 credits)
For those looking for a surprise pick, here's your golden ticket! Considering his low cost, Herrera's average of 18 minutes per game is extremely valuable -- especially for a fast-paced Paris team that loves to maximize its offensive possessions. He is well-aware that he is not among the team's primary options -- especially with a phenomenon like Nadir Hifi leading the offense -- but he still manages to contribute efficiently in his supporting role, which makes him arguably the most valuable choice among players near the bottom of the price barrel.
Forward
Sasha Vezenkov, Olympiacos Piraeus (18.0 credits)
It's hardly surprising to see the Bulgarian forward listed as a top fantasy recommendation anymore. However, there's a special circumstance this week: looking at the schedule, eight games will be played on Day 1 and only two on Day 2. That means finding a reliable captain pick for the second day could be tricky. Luckily, "Emergency Button Sasha" is here to save the day if your T1 captain disappoints you. From a broader perspective -- not just fantasy strategy -- Olympiacos also enjoys a strong fixture advantage. They are going to play their next three games at home, hosting tough opponents like Monaco and Hapoel. However, the tougher the matchup, the more minutes Vezenkov spends on the floor!
Cedi Osman, Panathinaikos AKTOR Athens (12.8 credits)
After erupting for 29 points against Efes in Round 5 -- matching his EuroLeague career high -- Osman reminded everyone of the kind of offensive firepower he brings to the table. His follow-up outing versus Virtus was not nearly as electric, but considering Panathinaikos' flat performance and the lopsided loss, it's hardly a red flag for fantasy managers. Now, back in Athens for a crucial home clash with Maccabi before embarking on a four-game road trip, Panathinaikos will be eager to reconnect with its fans -- and Osman could be at the center of that story. Expect a fast-paced and high-scoring affair, which plays perfectly into the strengths of Panathinaikos' premier shooter. If you are looking for a mid-tier option with serious upside, Osman deserves a long look.
Joel Parra, FC Barcelona (7.0 credits)
Nothing about Barcelona feels stable these days. One night they pull off a gritty road win in Athens, the next they stumble at home against Zalgiris, looking out of sync from start to finish. This inconsistency has pushed head coach Joan Penarroya to make an experiment and Parra has quietly an "X factor" in the rotation. Parra's 17 points and 20 PIR against Zalgiris were a rare bright spot in an otherwise flat team performance, showcasing both his work ethic and versatility. Given his growing importance and discipline, it would not be a surprise to see him rewarded with extended minutes in Tuesday's matchup against Milan. At a meager price, he is shaping up to be an intriguing buy-low candidate for fantasy owners searching for upside in the mid-tier range.
Center
Mfiondu Kabengele, Dubai Basketball (13.9 credits)
The energy this guy brings to the floor is off the charts — he looks like Taz out there! One of the biggest preseason question marks was how well he would fit alongside Filip Petrusev, but so far their chemistry has looked fantastic. With the team's highest-paid player, Dzanan Musa, sidelined by injury, these two have stepped up and taken responsibility when it mattered most. The only game where Kabengele performed below his usual standards came in Round 3 on the road against Olympiacos, and even then he managed to score 10 points. Considering that facing Olympiacos means battling big bodies like Vezenkov and Nikola Milutinov in the painted area, that point total is more than acceptable. In Round 7, Dubai will face Baskonia, a team whose interior defense has resembled an open highway lately. With the momentum Kabengele currently has, it's easy to imagine Baskonia's coaching staff losing some sleep trying to figure out how to stop him.
Donatas Motiejunas, Crvena Zvezda Meridianbet Belgrade (7.9 credits)
When it comes to "value picks" thus far, Motiejunas is one of the first names that comes to mind. With Joel Bolomboy sidelined, Red Star added Jasiel Rivero over the summer to strengthen the frontcourt -- but injuries have continued to haunt them, as Rivero also went down. Initially, Motiejunas appeared to be a short-term solution, but the addition of the experienced Lithuanian center has already proven to be a valuable move for the Belgrade side. Ebuka Izundu appears to be back at full speed, but since he and Motiejunas are completely different players, it's worth noting their playing time does not overlap much.
Head Coach
Sasa Obradovic, Crvena Zvezda Meridianbet Belgrade (7.2 credits)
After opening the season with a disappointing 0–2 record, Red Star made a bold and unexpected move by changing head coaches early. The timing surprised many, but in hindsight, it might have been the spark they needed. By bringing back club legend Obradovic, Red Star not only reignited the locker room but also skipped the usual adjustment period a new coach would require. The impact was immediate. Playing three straight games at home under Obradovic, Zvezda took down playoff-caliber opponents like Real Madrid and Zalgiris, reestablishing themselves as a serious postseason contender. Now, heading into Round 7, they will face ASVEL -- widely regarded as the weakest side in the competition. Expectations are sky-high: anything short of a double-digit win would feel like a disappointment. For fantasy managers, this is a golden opportunity. Obradovic-led Zvezda has been playing with renewed energy and focus, and if they win big as anticipated, a +20 fantasy point performance from the coaching slot feels almost inevitable.
Ergin Ataman, Panathinaikos AKTOR Athens (9.4 credits)
After the declaration in officially that the 2026 EuroLeague Final Four set to take place in Athens, Panathinaikos fans already seem to be in full championship mode -- and you can feel that pressure every time this team hits the floor. Despite an average start for them with 4–2, PAO completely fell apart in Round-6 against Virtus via looking disconnected and out of rhythm from the opening tip. A telling moment came during a late timeout, when cameras caught coach Ergin Ataman sitting silently, visibly disengaged from his players. But those familiar with Ataman's style know this was not apathy -- it was strategy. The veteran coach often uses such moments to send a message to his students and reset the team's mentality. Now, with a daunting four-game road stretch beginning after Round 7, this week's home clash against Maccabi takes on massive importance. Expect Ataman to pull out every motivational card in his deck to deliver a statement win -- one that could both reignite the locker room and mend fences with the demanding OAKA crowd. For fantasy players in coach mode, this might be the round where investing in Panathinaikos assets finally pays off.
Drop Candidates
Talen Horton-Tucker, Fenerbahce Beko Istanbul (9.9 credits)
During the first three weeks, Horton-Tucker gave the impression that he would adapt to the EuroLeague much faster than expected. However, missing Weeks 4 and 5 due to injury clearly cost him his rhythm. The biggest evidence of that came in the Istanbul derby: despite Fenerbahce's road win over Efes, Horton-Tucker had a disastrous outing, recording a –5 PIR in just 18 minutes on the floor. Heading into a tough away game against Valencia, it's quite possible he'll hit another wall similar to the one he faced versus Efes.
