DraftKings NHL: Saturday Picks

This article is part of our DraftKings NHL series.

GOALIE

Tuukka Rask, BOS at MON ($8,000): There's a chance Montreal exits its six-day bye in throwback form, but unless there are significant improvements, this is a great spot for Rask and the Bruins. The veteran netminder was embarrassed by the Penguins last time out, but he won 11 of the prior 14 outings with a .949 save percentage and 1.39 GAA. Boston also sports a fifth ranked Crosi For percentage (53.4) since the calendar flipped to December.

CENTER

Tyler Seguin, DAL vs. COL ($7,500): The star exploded for seven goals, 11 points and 27 shots through eight games -- seven at home -- leading into Dallas' six-day bye, and Colorado has likely overachieved to this point of the season. The Avs have also been a weaker opponent on the road with a 7-9-2 record while allowing 3.4 goals per 60 minutes. Seguin's a strong option with a manageable cap hit.

Mikko Koivu, MIN vs. WPG ($4,700): Winnipeg is playing its second away game in consecutive nights after losing to Chicago on Friday. Additionally, with Mark Scheifele (upper body) out, Koivu's in-game matchups won't be as challenging. The Finn has collected a goal, six assists and 17 shots through his past eight contests, so there's value in this price.

WING

David Pastrnak, BOS at MON ($6,700): Turning in another high-end offensive campaign, Pastrnak's salary stands out in the winger pool. He's collected six points through the past four games and sports top-20 marks in goals (1.4) and points (3.22) per 60 minutes for the campaign. As noted, there's potential for this game to be one of the bigger mismatches from this slate.

Tomas Hertl, SAN vs. ARI ($5,300): This is an interesting matchup for the Sharks because they're coming off their six-day bye, and Arizona is playing its second game in consecutive nights. However, the Coyotes' 5-14-4 road record shouldn't be ignored. Hertl's game-to-game inconsistency should keep his ownership percentage in check, so the 24-year-old Czech offers contrarian appeal. After all, he's skating in a top-six role and receiving power-play looks with the No. 1 unit.

Jack Roslovic, WPG at MIN ($2,800): The rookie received a late-game promotion to the third line Friday, so it wouldn't be surprising if he saw additional minutes against Minnesota. It's a daunting matchup for Roslovic and the Jets, but he recorded 15 goals and 20 assists through 31 AHL games this year, so the offensive upside's there for the first-round selection priced as a bargain-bin flier.

DEFENSE

Brent Burns, SAN vs. ARI ($7,200): Spending up for a defenseman can be an avenue to differentiating your lineups, and Burns enters this contest in peak form. He's collected six goals, 18 points and 72 shots -- 5.14 per game -- through his past 14 outings. Those numbers match any forward's line from this player pool, and as noted, it should be a great matchup against Arizona.

Shea Theodore, VGK vs. EDM ($4,300): This projects to be a favorable spot for the Golden Knights. Edmonton enters on the second leg of a back-to-back road set, and Vegas boasts an 18-2-1 home-ice record. With 1.55 points per 60 minutes this season, Theodore is also ripe for a slump-busting performance after missing the scoresheet in each of the past three games.
