NHL Saturday Night: Top Betting Picks and Parlay Insights

Ottawa Senators at Montreal Canadiens

The Senators (6-5-1) and the Canadiens (8-3-0) square off at Bell Centre in Montreal at 7:00 p.m. ET.

Montreal won the regular-season series 3-1 last season, although Ottawa won the final matchup 5-2 in Canada's capital city on April 11. The Over cashed in each of the final 3 meetings as well.

The Senators picked up a 4-3 shootout win over the Flames as moderate favorites (-165) as the Over (6) cashed for the fourth straight outing. Ottawa is 4-1 in the past five games, averaging 5.3 goals per game (GPG) in the past four matchups and going for at least three goals in each contest.

The Canadiens posted a 4-3 overtime win in Seattle on Tuesday, capping off the road trip with a 3-1 record. The Over has cashed in each of the past three games, averaging 4.3 GPG, while allowing 4.0 GPG in the span.

We'll actually avoid playing a side, since both teams are playing fairly effectively, and we'll simply play the Over.

  • Over 6 Goals (-125 at BetMGM)

St. Louis Blues at Columbus Blue Jackets

The Blues (3-6-2) and the Blue Jackets (6-4-0) meet at Nationwide Arena in Columbus at 7:00 p.m. ET.

Columbus has swept the regular-season series in each of the previous two years, winning each of the past four meetings, with the underdog cashing in three of those outings. The Over has also cashed in each of the past four encounters in Columbus.

St. Louis was on the short end of a 4-3 shootout win Thursday against Vancouver, and it is 0-4-2 in the past six games, cashing the Over in each of the past five matchups. The Blues have allowed at least four goals in that five-game span, coughing up 5.6 GPG.

For the Jackets, they doubled up the Maple Leafs 6-3 on Wednesday, winning for a season-high third straight outing. The Blues have scored 5.0 GPG in the past three matchups, while allowing 3.4 GPG. The Over has hit in each of the three games on the win streak.

Jet Greaves and Elvis Merzlikins have been alternating starts, doing a good job in the crease for Columbus. Let's back the Blue Jackets to get that fourth straight win, but we'll also go high on the total.

  • Over 6.5 Goals (+100 at Fanatics Sportsbook)

Toronto Maple Leafs at Philadelphia Flyers

The Maple Leafs (5-5-1) and Flyers (6-3-1) meet at Wells Fargo Arena in Philadelphia at 7:00 p.m. ET, and the game is available on NHL Network.

Toronto has dominated this series, winning nine of the past 10 installments since April 19, 2022. The Leafs swept the three meetings in 2024-25, although two of the wins were by a single goal, including 3-2 on Jan. 7 in the only battle in Philadelphia.

The Leafs will look to bounce back after a 6-3 pounding at the hands of the Blue Jackets on Wednesday, and Toronto is just 2-3-1 in the past six games. The Over has cashed in each of those six games, too, going for at least three goals in four straight matchups, while allowing three or more goals in all six of those consecutive Over results.

Anthony Stolarz (3-4-1, 3.27 GAA, .886 SV%) is expected to start for the Leafs. The New Jersey native won his most recent start Tuesday, kicking aside 26 of 29 shots against the Flames, but he has allowed three or more goals in four consecutive games.

The Flyers have won three in a row, totaling 11 goals, while winning two of those games in a shootout. Dan Vladar (4-2-0, 1.67 GAA, .939 SV%) is likely to start. He has allowed two or fewer goals in all six of his starting assignments to date.

Due to the goaltender disparity, we're going to side with Philadelphia, while going Over on the total.

  • Flyers ML (+110 at Bet365, Caesars and DraftKings Sportsbook)
  • Over 6 Goals (-120 at Bet365, BetMGM and Caesars Sportsbook)
