Closer Watch
Cubs – Well, Carlos Marmol has already lost a save to Kyuji Fujikawa. Marmol struck out his first batter Monday, but then he unraveled. He hit a batter, then gave up a single and a walk before manager Dale Sveum pieced the rest of the ninth together with James Russell and Fujikawa. Right now, it looks overwhelmingly likely that Marmol is going to lose this job at some point, and possibly soon.
Brewers – John Axford blew it in the ninth Monday, giving up a homer to Dexter Fowler, though he struck out the other three batters he faced. Jim Henderson won in relief and should get some holds, but Axford is still the only guy in the Milwaukee pen to own in most leagues.
Tigers – Joaquin Benoit pitched the eighth and started the ninth Monday, but was removed after getting the first out. In came Phil Coke, who got the last two outs and the save. This seems like it's going to be a fluid situation for a while.
Successful first saves Monday (before the late games): Craig Kimbrel, Rafael Soriano, Addison Reed, Ernesto Frieri

Recommended Pickup
Tyler Flowers, C, CHW – One of my favorite end-of-draft picks this year, Flowers is very underrepresented in fantasy ownership right now – 24 percent on CBS, 10 percent on Yahoo and 1 percent (?!) on ESPN. A one-time top prospect, Flowers showed a great combination of power and patience in the minors, and though the start of his MLB career has largely been a struggle, he's got power, he's in a good park for homers, and he has essentially an uncontested spot as the White Sox's starting catcher. Oh, and he homered on Opening Day. He probably won't hit for average, but 18-20 homers wouldn't be out of the question.
