Larson finished second in the South Point 400 NASCAR Cup Series race at Las Vegas Motor Speedway on Sunday evening.
ANALYSISThe Hendrick Motorsports star started sixth on the grid and led a race-high 129 laps. Larson would take the win in stage 2 and be the most dominant driver of the night in the South Point 400. Pit strategy would not play in his favor down the stretch and Larson would get shuffled out of the lead. He would claw his way back into second-place over the final 20 laps of racing and cross the finish line 1.5-seconds back of
Denny Hamlin for the impressive runner-up finish.
