O'Ward finished second in the Bommarito Automotive Group 500 presented by Axalta and Valvoline on Sunday at World Wide Technology Raceway.
The McLaren star would start third on the grid and lead 18 total laps for the day. O'Ward would battle for the podium the full distance and stay among the leaders the full race. Down the stretch, O'Ward would do well to hold off David Malukas
as he would finish more than 20-seconds behind race-winner Scott Dixon
. It was his seventh podium of the season.
