CFL DFS Picks and Cheat Sheet for Division Semi-Finals on DraftKings
The postseason has arrived, and it kicks off with Saturday's two-game Division Semi-Finals slate. A quartet of teams well familiar with each other face off for the right to advance, and there are some intriguing individual matchups to break down for DFS purposes.
As customary, we'll break down multiple options for each roster spot and also offer a trio of core plays to consider making the centerpiece of your lineups.
Quarterback Plays for CFL Division Semi-Finals
Nathan Rourke, B.C. vs. CGY ($11,000): We've broken down Rourke's stellar numbers time and again in this space throughout the regular season, so the case for him as being worth the top salary on the slate is indisputable.
The MOP odds-on favorite eclipsed 5,000 passing yards on the season and threw for 331 and 414 yards against the Stamps in two regular-season meetings while also posting a 6:2 TD:INT and rushing for 65 yards and three TDs in those contests.
Vernon Adams Jr., CGY at B.C. ($9,100): As we'll cover in the Lions' entry in the team defense section later in the article, Adams had a rough go of it against B.C. in two regular-season games. Nevertheless, the veteran quarterback is going to have to remain aggressive going against Rourke and his vast array of weapons.
Adams displayed plenty of fantasy upside this season while compiling 4,247 passing yards and throwing 21 touchdowns while also rushing for 332 yards and another pair of scores. Given the expected game environment and his salary, fire him up if you want to pay down at QB.
ALSO CONSIDER: Zach Collaros, WPG at MTL ($8,900)
Running Back Plays for CFL Division Semi-Finals
James Butler, B.C. vs. CGY ($8,900): Butler dealt with an ankle injury earlier in the week, but as long as he's cleared to play Saturday, he makes for a high-upside play at his salary against a Stampeders defense that allowed the second-highest yards per carry (5.5) this season.
Butler gained a career-high 1,213 rushing yards at 5.3 yards per carry this season, also posting a career-best 11 rushing TDs and adding a robust 46-439-1 receiving line. He carries a safe floor when healthy due to his dual roles, making him a viable consideration as long as he's got the green light to play.
Brady Oliveira, WPG at MTL ($8,700): Oliveira is another veteran back who provides a considerable measure of security most weeks due to his versatility. Oliveira finished the regular season having gained 1,163 yards at 5.8 yards per carry while also providing a career-best 61-546-0 receiving line on 76 targets.
He also trampled the Alouettes for 137 rushing yards and a touchdown on 16 carries, his best showing on the ground this season, in his one 2025 meeting with Montreal thus far.
ALSO CONSIDER: Dedrick Mills, CGY at B.C. ($8,500)
Wide Receiver/Slotback Plays for CFL Division Semi-Finals
Keon Hatcher, B.C. at CGY ($10,800): Hatcher, like his QB Rourke, was a mainstay in this space throughout the regular season thanks to his career-best efforts. The veteran wideout finished with a career-high 102 receptions, 1,688 yards and nine touchdowns across 18 games.
The Stampeders allowed 147- and 112-yard tallies to Hatcher in two 2025 games and two TDs in the latter contest, and they finished the regular season surrendering 283.3 passing yards per game.
Erik Brooks, CGY at B.C. ($8,300): If Rourke, Butler and Hatcher are all wreaking havoc on one side Saturday, then we can count on the Stamps being forced to respond. When they do, there's a good chance Brooks, who finished the season with a 136-yard effort against the Elks in Week 21, will be involved.
The Fresno State product broke out with a 51-824-2 line this season, and he produced five receptions for 92 yards in his most recent game against a Lions defense that surrendered the second-most completions of 30+ yards during the 2025 campaign.
ALSO CONSIDER: Austin Mack, MTL vs. WPG ($7,200); Ontaria Wilson, WPG vs. MTL ($6,600)
Team Defense Plays for CFL Division Semi-Finals
B.C. Lions ($3,800) vs. Calgary Stampeders:
The Lions are at home and favored Saturday, which automatically makes their defense appealing. B.C.'s unit also averaged a solid 8.1 DK points per contest during the regular season, including 8.3 at home, and finished with an impressive tally of 45 sacks, 19 interceptions, 17 forced fumbles and two defensive TDs.
Calgary has plenty of offensive talent, but Adams can be prone to turnovers at times, as evidenced by the five picks he threw against the Lions in two regular-season games while also taking eight sacks in those matchups.
CFL DFS Cheat Sheet for Division Semi-Finals
Nathan Rourke, QB
James Butler, RB
Erik Brooks, WR
Total salary expenditure: $28.2k
There's no getting around having to invest some heavy salary this week in order to lock in upside, but Rourke and Butler are both well worth it given their ceilings and B.C.'s projected team total of over 30 points. Then, if banking on yet another successful day for the Lions on offense, using a bring-back option from the Stampeders in the form of the explosive and ascending Brooks makes plenty of sense.
