FanDuel NHL: Sunday Value Plays

FanDuel NHL: Sunday Value Plays

This article is part of our FanDuel NHL series.

Though Sunday's four-game schedule leaves FanDuel players strapped for options, the Jets boast some value plays ripe for use, including their netminder.

Goalie

Connor Hellebuyck, WPG vs OTT ($7,900): Hellebuyck wasn't particularly sharp in his last start but was still able to pick up a victory thanks to an abundance of support offensively. He's won three of his last four games and is a solid home favorite. In two games against Ottawa last season, Hellebuyck was 2-0 and stopped 61 of 65 shots against him for a .938 save percentage. His salary is the lowest it's been since October 29, which doesn't make much sense.

Center

Bryan Little, WPG vs OTT ($4,700): Over his last five games, Little has three goals and three assists for a Jets team that has 16 goals over its last three contests. Skating on the second line with Patrik Laine and Nikolaj Ehlers, Little has caught fire after a miserable start.

William Karlsson, VGK vs ARI ($6,300): Vegas continues to produce goals at home and they welcome the Coyotes, who just played Saturday night. Over his last eight games, Karlsson has eight goals and four assists skating on a dynamic line with Jonathan Marchessault and Reilly Smith. The Coyotes have had a tough time against centers all season and allow 3.57 goals per game, the highest mark in the league.

Wing

Alex DeBrincat, CHI vs LA ($4,800): DeBrincat has added a nice boost to the Blackhawks in his rookie campaign. The surging prospect has a point in three straight games (four goals, two assists) heading into Saturday. He has 11 goals and seven assists on the season with four of those points coming on the power play. He's slotted in on the top power-play unit, a unit that has struggled to gain consistency, but at this price, he could deliver a fine return.

Clayton Keller, ARI at VGK ($5,000): I recommended Keller as a play in Saturday's article, and I'm going back to the well with the rookie again on Sunday. With an assist last night, Keller now has notched a point in two of his last three games. I had mentioned that the rookie had seemed to have hit a bit of a wall after a hot start, but at this salary, he's in play as an option based on a high volume of shots and the ability to score goals in bunches.

Alexander Radulov, DAL at COL ($6,200): Radulov, who owns a goal in two of his last three games, is an offensive presence at full strength and on the power play for Dallas. He now has nine goals and 14 assists in 26 games while averaging just under 20 minutes of ice time per game. He's been held scoreless in three games this season against Colorado, suggesting that he is due to produce against a team allowing over three goals per game.

Defense

Shea Theodore, VGK vs ARI ($3,500): Theodore is one of the young talented defensemen the Golden Knights were able to pluck away in the expansion draft. The former Anaheim Duck took some time to get going but has been playing well in a prominent role. He's gone scoreless in his last three games after a three-game point streak in which he had a goal and three assists. Theodore is seeing around 20 minutes of ice time per game and gets a boost playing on the top power-play unit.

Josh Morrissey, WPG vs OTT ($3,900): Morrissey is another value defense option, along with Jacob Trouba ($4,600), that's in play on most nights as cap relief. In his last three games, Morrissey has a goal, three assists, and seven blocked shots. He skates on the top pairing along with Dustin Byfuglien and is worth a look even though he doesn't see much, if any, power play time. Morrissey has seen at least 19 minutes of ice time in each of his last six games.
