Closer Watch – A closer look at intriguing ninth-inning situations (also check out our Closer Grid)
Houston – Brandon Lyon entered in the 10th inning Saturday night and promptly got spanked for four runs without retiring a batter. It looks like he is still the closer, but Mark Melancon is still in contention since Lyon has had two bad outings since returning.
Chicago (AL) – Jesse Crain went 1.1 innings for Saturday's save in place of Sergio Santos, who struggled the night before. Manager Ozzie Guillen said Santos is still the closer, but Crain appears to be the next guy in the queue.
Baltimore – After seven scoreless outings in a row, Kevin Gregg blew a save by allowing a run Saturday. His WHIP is 1.62, more than double the WHIP of Koji Uehara's 0.80. Still, Gregg has been good enough to hold off Uehara for a while longer.

Recommended Pickup
Jemile Weeks, 2B, OAK – Weeks has seen his first taste of the majors with Mark Ellis on the DL. Ellis is not supposed to miss more than two weeks, but it is possible he is on the hot seat as a 34-year old with a .211 average and one home run. The initial returns on Weeks have been positive – 7-for-21 with a double and two triples through Sunday. He does not possess the same speed as his brother Rickie, nor does he have the power at this point in his career, but he does have some fantasy potential as a contact hitter at a scarce position.
Other recent recommendations:J.J. Hardy, Mike Moustakas, Anthony Rizzo, Brennan Boesch, Charlie Morton
