DraftKings NBA: Sunday Cheat Sheet

DraftKings NBA: Sunday Cheat Sheet

This article is part of our DraftKings NBA series.

Sunday will bring the conclusion of the final first-round series of the NBA playoffs with the Cavaliers and Pacers playing a deciding Game 7. The Rockets and Jazz will also be tipping off the first game of their second-round series. Let's try to end the weekend on a high note in DFS as well by bringing home some cash on DraftKings.

Guards
Donovan Mitchell, UTA at HOU ($8,900): Mitchell certainly didn't crumble under the pressure of his first playoff series, scoring at least 41.8 DraftKings points in five of six games against the Thunder. He received a ton of playing time, logging at least 35 minutes in each game of the series. He'll likely have the ball in his hands even more now with Ricky Rubio (hamstring) out, giving him excellent upside Sunday.

Chris Paul, HOU vs. UTA ($7,800): Paul had an inconsistent series against the Timberwolves. He showed a tremendous ceiling by scoring at least 51.8 DraftKings points twice, but scored 31.8 DraftKings points or fewer in each of the other three contests. He'll get a bit of an easier task with Rubio out Sunday and given his role in the offense, Paul is someone worth considering at this reasonable price.

Kyle Korver, CLE vs. IND ($4,300): The Cavaliers' secondary players behind LeBron James have not had a good series. The Cavaliers would be wise to get Korver more involved Sunday as he has been a key part of their success, scoring at least 21.3 DraftKings points and attempting at least eight shots in each of their wins. In the three games they have lost, Korver scored a total of 17.1 DraftKings points and attempted 10 shots combined. He won't cost you much, but he could be worth the risk in tournament play.

Forwards

LeBron James, CLE vs. IND ($12,100): James is trying to carry the Cavaliers into the second round, scoring at least 59.4 DraftKings points in five of the six games in this series. He played only 31 minutes in their blowout loss in Game 6, but still finished with 44.3 DraftKings points. He's very expensive, but it's hard not to put him into your lineup considering his potential Sunday.

Joe Ingles, UTA at HOU ($6,200): Ingles had a rough start to the Thunder series, scoring 17.5 DraftKings points or fewer in both of the first two games. He quickly righted the ship though, scoring at least 26.5 DraftKings points in each of the subsequent four games. He may even see a few more shots come his way with Rubio sidelined, making him a viable mid-tier priced option for your entry.

Royce O'Neale, UTA at HOU ($3,600): O'Neale figures to see a more prominent role until Rubio is healthy enough to return. He played 19 minutes when Rubio was injured Friday, but he only scored 12 DraftKings points. He'll likely split Rubio's minutes with Alec Burks and Dante Exum, but with so few cheap options with only two games on the schedule, O'Neale is someone to consider if you need to save money at forward.

Centers

Rudy Gobert, UTA at HOU ($7,200): Gobert was his normal reliable self in the middle for the Jazz in the first round, scoring at least 31 DraftKings points in five of the six games. He had a double-double in all five of those contests and averaged 2.2 blocks per game in the series. Of the three high-priced centers available Sunday, Gobert is likely the safest option for production.

Domantas Sabonis, IND at CLE ($5,300): Sabonis has proven to be a key part of the Pacers' second unit, scoring at least 26 DraftKings points in three straight games. He attempted at least 11 shots in each of those contests after attempting eight shots or fewer in each of the first three games. With the Cavaliers limited size and defensive abilities up front, Sabonis is a viable cost-effective option at center if you don't want to pay up for Gobert.
