Pacers Start And Finish Strong Against Knicks
The Indiana Pacers defeated the New York Knicks, 111-98, at Gainbridge Fieldhouse on Wednesday.

The Pacers (3-6) moved to 3-2 at home and delivered another strong performance, perhaps showing a regression to a record they should have in the first place given that five of their six losses have come in the closing minutes. The late-game execution was in full display against the Knicks (5-3), though. Indiana won the first quarter by a 36-22 score, but the Knicks made a game out of nowhere after they won the subsequent two quarters, 28-23 and 25-21, meaning the Pacers held a slim five-point advantage with only 12 minutes left on the clock. The momentum was on the Knicks' side, but Indiana outscored their rivals by a 31-23 score in the final 12 minutes -- and that was enough to get the victory in front of their fans. Indiana shot 46.2 percent from the field and 39 percent from three-point range, while the Knicks shot 41.4 percent from the field and 20.8 percent from three-point range.

Myles Turner had 25 points and 13 rebounds to lead the Pacers in what was a career-game for him with seven threes. Caris LeVert notched 21 points and five assists, while Malcolm Brogdon contributed 17 points, eight rebounds and seven assists to the winning cause. Chris Duarte mustered 10 points and five rebounds, and Domantas Sabonis contributed 10 points, seven rebounds and three assists. Torrey Craig ended with 12 points off the bench.

R.J. Barrett was New York's best player once again since he ended with 23 points and five rebounds, while Julius Randle ended with a double-double of 18 points and 14 rebounds. Evan Fournier had 14 points despite going just 1-for-5 from the three-point line. The bench stepped up, with Derrick Rose (13 points) and Alec Burks (10 points) scoring in double figures.
