As we navigate through the season, we are starting to see Top 5 candidates in every category crystallize a bit, but at this point, no one has come through with any of the top prizes!  That won't stop us from trying, however.

Before diving into Week 15, let's take a look at last week's winners in every category.

WEEK 14 RESULTS

QB Passing Yards - Jameis Winston

As you'll see, Winston sweeped the quarterback categories this week.  Not what we expected but 2.6% of the field voted him in.

QB Completed Passes - Jameis Winston

Winston again, with 5.1% of the field nailing the pick. We got this one correct!

RB Rushing Yards - Joe Mixon

I'm not at all surprised by this one, as I gave Mixon a lot of exposure in my DFS lineups. We elected go a safer route here, but 7.7% of the field nailed this square.

RB Receiving Yards - Austin Ekeler

Ekeler won this one by a wide margin. The Chargers back was picked by 5.1% of the field.

WR Receiving Yards - Emmanuel Sanders

I left Sanders on the bench here and in my fantasy playoffs.  Bad move. Like Ekeler, 5.1% of the field selected Sanders.

WR Receptions - Michael Thomas

Thomas is a frequent resident in both WR categories, and 10.1% of the field picked the right week for him.

FG Made - Jason Sanders

We didn't pick him, and neither did anyone else.  The field is getting closer to a goose-egg free slate, but this was a square-breaker.

Defense Points Allowed - Vikings

This means we only got one square right for you this week.  Again, 5.1% of the field got this one right.

Week 15 Targets

QB Passing Yards

Jimmy Garoppolo, SF vs. ATL

It's an interesting week, as a lot of middling signal-callers have great matchups, but you could hardly consider them dependable.  As I slide down the opposing defenses, Jimmy G is the first name that jumps out as a player who could deliver in this category against Atlanta.

Jared Goff, LAR at DAL

The Rams need to ride with Goff, if they want to keep their playoff hopes alive. It's entirely possible that Goff can connect with Robert Woods and Cooper Kupp enough to eclipse 300 yards.

QB Passes Completed

If you believe in your yardage picks, consider a sweep, but here are two more options.

David Blough, DET vs, TB

This is a great situation for Blough, who needs to prove that his solid performance against the Bears in Week 13 wasn't a fluke. He'll be in a good position to proof his mettle against a porous Bucs pass defense.

Drew Lock, DEN @ KC

Speaking of flukes, it appears that Lock isn't one.  The Broncos are a run-first team, but Lock could have some luck against a susceptible Chiefs secondary and check down a lot of balls to is running backs and Noah Fant.

RB Rushing Yards

Saquon Barkley, NYG vs, MIA

This is a great spot for Barkley to wake from his slumber.  The elite runner has been largely a disappointment, just like the Giants' season. I don't expect a lot of passing offense from the Giants, so they'll lean on Barkley against a Dolphins defense that ranks 28th against opposing running backs.

Patrick Laird, MIA @ NYG

Laird looked good last week, and I wouldn't be surprised to see Miami pull an upset here. If the Dolphins stay competitive, the run game will definitely play a large part, and I expect they'll give Laird all he can handle.  Miami needs to figure out their draft situation next year, so Laird is essentially getting his tryout now. The Dolphins can't afford to waste a pick on a running back.

RB Receiving Yards

Austin Ekeler, LAC vs. MIN

The Vikings are tough against pass-catchers out of the backfield, but Ekeler is hard to contain in the passing game. He's settled in to a near equal timeshare with Melvin Gordon, so Ekeler's workload isn't much of a concern.

Leonard Fournette, JAC # OAK

The Raiders have given up the fourth-most receiving yards in the league, putting Fournette in a plum spot to clear this square again.   You had to move off of Fournette amidst the QB problems, but the job is Gardener Minshew's now and he likes checking down to his star runner.

WR Receiving Yards

Michael Thomas, NO vs. IND

Definitely the safe play. Not a lot to add.  I could put him in both categories and let it ride.

Tyreek Hill, KC vs. DEN

If I had to pick one guy to break off a big run this weekend, I would go with Hill, who can transform his stat line with a single big catch.  The Chiefs will need to air it out, as the Broncos are stingy against the run.

WR Receptions

Keenan Allen, LAC vs. MIN

While Ekeler will siphon some catches, Allen has turned into more of a possession receiver this season. I could also argue that Hunter Henry could also do well in this category, but Allen is by far Philip Rivers' favorite target.

DeAndre Hopkins, HOU @ TEN

DeShaun Watson will look for Hopkins often, even if Will Fuller does return to action.  I think Hopkins will be good for at least seven catches, if not more.

FG Made

I'm going to roll with Aldrick Rosas against the Dolphins, and I'll also take a flier on Matt Prater against the Bucs in a domed stadium.

Defense Points Allowed

Remember that we are strictly looking for points allowed, so we are trying to identify blowouts and goose-eggs.

I'm going to go with the Browns against the Cardinals, and the Patriots against the Bengals.
