Top NHL Parlays and Value Picks for Tuesday Night Betting

Nashville Predators at Minnesota Wild

The Predators (5-6-3) and Wild (4-6-3) meet at Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul, Minnesota, and it's our first reminder of the season that St. Paul is the capital of Minnesota, not Minneapolis.

While both of these teams have losing overall records, this is an interesting game.

Nashville is coming off an entertaining 5-4 loss in overtime against the Vancouver Canucks in the Music City on Monday night, and then the Predators hopped on a plane and played in the second end of a back-to-back. The Predators didn't arrive in Minneapolis-St. Paul Airport on their Delta Airlines 757 charter flight until 1:33 a.m. CST, and that means they likely didn't get to the team hotel and into bed until at least 3-4 a.m. That's a tough turnaround.

The Predators are 1-3-1 in the past five games, while the Over has cashed in three of the past four outings. In that 5-4 OTL loss to the Canucks, Juuse Saros faced a lot of rubber, stopping 31 of 36 shots, while Erik Haula and Nick Blankenburg notched power-play goals in the losing effort.

For the Wild, they also played the Canucks last time out, spanking Vancouver 5-2 on Saturday as moderate favorites (-175) as the Over (6) cashed. Minnesota is 1-1-2 in the past four games, while the Over is 4-1 in the past five outings. The five goals scored matched a season best, accomplished three times. Vladimir Tarasenko netted a power-play goal, while Vinnie Hinostroza posted a goal early in the third period, and that stood up as the game-winning tally.

We'll back the Wild, as the Predators should be bleary-eyed with heavy legs after a tough travel time, and we'll side with the Over based on the recent trends for both sides. The Over is 4-1 in the past five meetings in this series, too, with Minnesota winning three of the past four in the series.

  • Wild -1.5 Goals (+120 at Bet365 and DraftKings Sportsbooks)
  • Over 5.5 Goals (-140 at Fanatics and FanDuel Sportsbooks)

Detroit Red Wings at Vegas Golden Knights

The Red Wings (9-4-0) and Golden Knights (6-2-3) meet at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas at 10 p.m. ET on ESPN+.

Detroit is wrapping up a five-game road trip, and it has done well on the journey with three wins in four games. That includes a 3-2 shootout win in San Jose on Sunday as heavy favorites (-190) as the Under (6.5) cashed. The Red Wings have won four of the past five games, and nine of the past 12 outings, while the Over is 5-1 in the past six games despite Sunday's Under result.

The goaltender duo of veterans John Gibson and Cam Talbot is getting the job done. Talbot (5-1-0, 2.76 GAA, .897 save percentage) is expected to get the nod, facing Akira Schmid (5-1-0, 2.73 GAA, .892 save percentage) for VGK. Schmid has done great work with Adin Hill (lower body) on the shelf. The Golden Knights are also expected to be without Noah Hanifin (lower body) and Mark Stone (wrist).

It's a tough spot for Detroit, though, despite the Vegas injuries. It is still just 3-4-0 on the road, and 1-3-0 in the past four trips to Vegas, getting outscored 18-11 in those four meetings since Nov. 18, 2021.

This is a new Red Wings team, but at the end of a long trip against a tough opponent, back the home side. And, based on recent trends, we'll go high on the total, which is 3-1 in the past four in this series.
