The MLB will wrap up an excellent postseason Saturday night with Game 7 of the World Series. That there would be a Game 7 seemed inevitable for most of Friday, though the Jays put together a valiant rally before falling short. The Dodgers haven't made their pitching plans official, but Shohei Ohtani looks likely to start while Max Scherzer will do so for the Blue Jays. It should be another excellent night of baseball, which will conclude with a champion being crowned.
As for the DraftKings contest, at this point in the season we're down to only Showdown slates. The roster requirements are different than a traditional MLB slate with six total roster spots to fill and no positional requirements. There's also a Captain slot that earns 1.5X points with a corresponding increase in salary. The starting pitchers are the most obvious choices for that spot, yet they also cost the most and will make the rest of the roster difficult to fill. That makes the Captain more of an interesting and pivotal choice than it may initially appear.

Pitchers
It's an interesting day for pitching as there is only one option to consider assuming Ohtani starts. DraftKings made the decision to count only his hitting, which would leave Scherzer ($15,600/$10,400) the only possible selection. He gutted through a reasonable fantasy performance in the ALCS, but his salary has outweighed the results this postseason.
Hitters
While Ohtani ($15,900/$10,600) isn't available as a pitcher, he still jumps off the page as an obvious Captain as a hitter. The Dodgers mixed up their order in Game 6. If they carry over the same or similar lineup, Will Smith ($10,500/$7,000) represents an excellent value. He hasn't shown the upside desirable to fill the Captain slot, though has been consistent and was bumped up to second on Friday. It's otherwise been a slog for most of the prominent names, but it's worth considering Freddie Freeman ($13,800/$9,200) and Teoscar Hernandez ($11,400/$7,600) as big bats who've occasionally popped over the last month.
Vladimir Guerrero ($15,300/$10,200) is the alternative to Ohtani having delivered excellent performances throughout this series. There are other strong values from the Jays to consider. Alejandro Kirk ($10,800/$7,200) has been another bat who's produced big-time fantasy performances - just make sure he's starting Saturday after suffering a hand injury in Game 6.
Toronto values should be Davis Schneider ($4,800) and Ernie Clement ($5,200). Schneider batted second while Clement posted an excellent .379 wOBA and .223 ISO against southpaws during the regular season.
