Sixers Dominate Again, Defeat Celtics For Second Time This Week
The Philadelphia 76ers defeated the Boston Celtics, 122-110, at Wells Fargo Center on Friday night.

The 76ers (11-5) were coming off a 117-109 win over the Celtics (8-6) on Wednesday, and Philadelphia managed to win against the same opponent for the second time over the last three days. The Celtics grabbed the lead early and enjoyed a strong start in this one, however, as they jumped out to a 33-25 lead following the first quarter. That would all the advantage they would accomplish, though, as Philadelphia quickly began to turn things around with a 24-19 second quarter and pulled away for good after putting up 42 points in the third quarter alone -- as opposed to Boston's 28. The 76ers entered the final 12 minutes of action with an 11-point lead, and they would stretch it even further after winning the final quarter by a 31-30 score, closing things out and earning a comfortable 12-point win against another contending franchise in the Eastern Conference.

Jaylen Brown had one of the best games of his career en route to 42 points, nine rebounds and three assists, but his efforts were not enough to carry the Celtics. Marcus Smart had 20 points and seven assists, while Kemba Walker posted decent numbers with 19 points, three rebounds, five assists and three steals. They were the only three Boston players that scored in double digits, though.

Joel Embiid had another monster performance and racked up 38 points and 11 rebounds while adding three assists and a steal across 30 minutes. Tobias Harris delivered 23 points, eight rebounds and three assists, while Ben Simmons chipped in with 15 points, 11 assists, three boards, two steals and a block. Seth Curry also ended with 15 points while also making three of his five three-point attempts.
