Closer Watch
Royals: The team traded away closer Jonathan Broxton to the Reds for two minor league pitchers. Greg Holland has been named the new closer, though if he struggles the Royals also have Aaron Crow and Kelvin Herrera, both of whom were considered to fill the closers role.

Astros: Wilton Lopez will serve as the primary closer for the time being. However, he was not available on Tuesday due to "tightness" after throwing a bullpen session. In addition, the team has not ruled out using Lopez in key situations earlier in the game, even if a save situation might come up later on.

Reds: Following the acquisition of Jonathan Broxton, it appears that Aroldis Chapman will remain the closer. Broxton might be used to occasionally spell Chapman, and their roles could interchange depending on performance, but expect Chapman to continue to receive most save opportunities.

Recommended Pickup
Greg Holland, P, KCR: How could this not be a recommended pick-up? As of this writing, Holland is owned in just over three percent of ESPN fantasy leagues. That number is going to jump very quickly after Holland was named the new Kansas City closer following the departure of Jonathan Broxton. If Holland struggles, the Royals have other options to replace him. However, Holland performing poorly would be a surprise considering how good he has been. Following a 1.80 ERA in 2011, he had a rough April this season as his ERA jumped to 11.37 in seven games. After a three-week DL stint, Holland has thrown 33.1 innings over 34 appearances since May 12. Over that span, he has a 2.16 ERA and .629 opponents OPS. Even better, he strikes out a ton of hitters, with a 12.51 K/9 over that stretch. Most teams could always use a new closer. Holland could prove to be one of the best in the league over the next couple months. Get him while he still might be available.

Other Recent Recommendations: Wade LeBlanc, Todd Frazier, Paul Maholm, Chris Davis, Starling Marte
