Brian Roberts, 2B, BAL - For a few years, Roberts was one of the best second base options in fantasy baseball. However, he has fallen off the map as Roberts has missed much of the last two and a half seasons due to injury. He played just 59 games in 2010 and just 39 games in 2011 before missing all of 2012 up until Tuesday. He was dreadful in what few games he played in 2011, hitting just .221/.273/.331. However, second base and middle infield are not incredibly deep fantasy positions, and Roberts is now back from injury. He's not going to be the Ryan Roberts of old, but he could give a decent batting average and still steal a good amount of bases. In addition, Baltimore has little else at the position, so Roberts should stay in the lineup for a while. He might be worth a chance if you need middle infield help.
Other Recent Recommendations: Roy Oswalt, Kevin Millwood, Alexi Ogando, Andrew Cashner, Justin Maxwell
