Pelicans and Celtics Meet at TD
The New Orleans Pelicans take on the Boston Celtics at TD Garden on Wednesday night.

The Pelicans (25-16) come into Wednesday's game progressively feeling the weight of a pair of notable absences, as they've lost four of their last six contests. Their most recent time on the floor resulted in one of their two wins during the sample, however, as they defeated the Washington Wizards by a 132-112 score Monday night. CJ McCollum led the Pelicans with 34 points, adding five rebounds, one assist, two steals and one block. Jonas Valanciunas generated a 27-point, 12-rebound double-double that included one assist. Naji Marshall furnished 18 points, four assists, three rebounds and one steal. Devonte' Graham totaled 11 points, six assists, one rebound, one steal and one block. Jose Alvarado managed 10 points, five assists, four rebounds and one steal.

The Pelicans expect to remain without Brandon Ingram (toe) and Zion Williamson (hamstring) for Wednesday's game. Herbert Jones (back) will carry a doubtful tag.

The Celtics (29-12) come into Wednesday's showdown trending in a very positive direction, having won three straight games and five straight at home overall. Their most recent success came Monday night, when they got past the Chicago Bulls by a 107-99 score. Jayson Tatum paced the Celtics with 32 points, supplementing them with eight boards, seven assists and one steal. Grant Williams registered 20 points, eight rebounds, one assist and two blocks. Jaylen Brown delivered 19 points, five rebounds, three assists and one block. Malcolm Brogdon totaled 11 points, seven rebounds and three assists.

The Celtics will list Marcus Smart (knee) and Robert Williams (knee) as questionable for Wednesday's contest.

Wednesday's game marks the second and final meeting between the teams this season. The Celtics own a 1-0 series lead.
