Recommended Pickup

David Peralta, OF, ARI - With five multi-hit games in August, Peralta has been a hot pickup in NL-only and deeper mixed leagues. A failed former pitcher in the Cardinals' organization, the 26-year-old outfielder was got his first taste of the big leagues on June 1 after A.J. Pollock hit the DL with a broken hand. The Venezuelan native never played above Double-A, but he's been an impressive regular in the Diamondbacks' lineup, hitting .313/.347/.486 with five home runs, 29 RBI, 29 runs scored and four stolen bases in 57 games. One of his steals was a swipe of home plate against Colorado on a catcher's throw back to the pitcher. Fantasy owners who are looking for a solid all-around player can do a lot worse than Peralta, who is still widely available in CBS (76 percent), ESPN (94 percent) and Yahoo! (94 percent) leagues.

Other Recent Recommendations:Derek Jeter, Vance Worley, Denard Span, Colby Lewis and Kenny Vargas.
