Top DFS Pitching and Team Stacking Strategies for DraftKings
In this article, I'm going to take a deeper dive into pitching and team stacking options. Let's take a look at our optimizer's rankings of the pitchers for the DraftKings five-game main slate, sorted by projected fantasy points.

*No weather issues expected.

It's a small slate tonight with a mixture of afternoon and evening games today and we only have two starters priced over $8k. Spencer Strider is our highest projected pitcher but George Kirby is my preferred option to spend up on. His matchup against the White Sox is more appealing than Strider facing the red-hot Brewers. Kirby has also gone for 26 DK points in back-to-back starts.
We've also highlighted Jeffrey Springs and Nestor Cortes in our optimizer. Springs gets a nice $1,900 discount compared to his FanDuel salary, so it's no surprise that he's our top point-per-dollar option. Meanwhile, Cortes will be making his first start for the Padres against a Diamondbacks lineup that struggles at the bottom of their lineup. Note that Anthony DeSclafani has not pitched more than four innings all season.
Here's how each pitcher ranks in key categories (less than 10 IP marked as N/A):
Pitcher | Fantasy Points | FIP | K% | Opponent K% |
Spencer Strider | 1 | 3 | 1 | 6 |
George Kirby | 2 | 1 | 2 | 5 |
Jeffrey Springs | 3 | 4 | 5 | 8 |
Nestor Cortes | 4 | N/A | N/A | 7 |
Michael Wacha | 5 | 2 | 6 |
