We have a modified getaway day Wednesday, with four early games and the remaining games at 6:40 pm ET or later. The main slate kicks off at 7:35 pm ET and includes eight games, which will be the topic of this article.

Pitchers

Things haven't gone particularly well for George Kirby ($9,500) in his last three starts, as he's delivered -4.5, 13.3 and 19.55 DraftKings points. He draws the Rays on Wednesday, who have struck out at a 25.2 percent clip in the last 30 days.

Kirby is the only high-end pitcher I'd consider, but the middle tier of the pitcher pool has several intriguing options. Cade Horton ($8,500) has gone through some inconsistency, but he has a legitimate chance to lead all pitchers in points. Atlanta is a mediocre lineup, and Horton has posted at least 27 DK points in three of his last five starts. Zebby Matthews ($8,200), Will Warren ($8,000) and Aaron Nola ($7,700) are all worth considering. Matthews has a good matchup against the White Sox, while Warren has been safe for around 16 DK points in recent starts. Houston ranks 23rd in the league in wOBA across the last 30 days, so a matchup against the Astros isn't as daunting as it appears for Warren.

Ryan Bergert ($7,500) probably belongs in the mid-tier group just covered, as he's delivered between 16.35 and 21.7 DK points in his last four starts. He doesn't have as much strikeout upside as the rest of that group, but a matchup against the Angels could prop him up Wednesday night.

Bryce Elder ($6,500) is pretty much a dart throw, but he's had solid starts in three of his last four appearances. That makes him an okay punt option.

Top Hitters

The Giants are a good stacking option thanks to a matchup against German Marquez at Coors Field, but it might be difficult to stack them given inflated prices. Nearly the entire middle of their lineup has hit well lately, including Rafael Devers ($5,700), Willy Adames ($5,300) and Heliot Ramos ($5,000).

The A's let us down Tuesday night in a good matchup against Miles Mikolas, but they get another one when Matthew Liberatore takes the mound Wednesday. Liberatore has allowed at least one home run in each of his last five starts (2.42 HR/9), so Nick Kurtz ($5,900), Brent Rooker ($4,700) and Tyler Soderstrom ($4,600) should all be on the radar.

Value Bats

Yoendrys Gomez has had some success in transitioning from the bullpen to a starting role, but that is slowly coming undone. He's walked nine across his last 8.2 innings and has allowed 10 runs in 18.2 frames overall. The Twins are a good team to get some cheap exposure to, with Royce Lewis ($3,000) being at the top of the list. He has averaged 10.6 DK points in his last 10 games.

Nico Hoerner ($3,400) typically isn't a DFS target because he doesn't have enough power to score many points on his own. The Cubs could be lined up for a big offensive night against Elder, so the context is positive, and Hoerner has averaged 8.1 DK points in his last 10 games.

Stacks to Consider

Kansas City Royals vs. Los Angeles Angels (Cade Dana): Mike Yastrzemski ($3,800), Bobby Witt ($5,800), Vinnie Pasquantino ($4,300)

The Royals are another team that fell flat Tuesday night, but I'm willing to turn right back to them. Dana has a very limited big-league sample (16.1 IP) but he has 6:5 K:BB while giving up seven home runs. He can always turn things around, but the Royals are in a very good spot to score runs for the second consecutive night. Another positive is that the lineup is very cheap to stack, with Witt being an exception.

Seattle Mariners vs. Tampa Bay Rays (Adrian Houser): Randy Arozarena ($4,800), Julio Rodriguez ($5,300), Josh Naylor ($4,400)

The Mariners haven't been a particularly potent lineup lately, but there are a lot of positive factors for them Wednesday. Houser has allowed at least four earned runs in three of his last five starts and four earned runs in his only home start with the Rays. Both the matchup and hitting environment should be in favor of the Mariners and their lineup is relatively reasonably priced.
