Las Vegas Raiders RB Roles
Team: Las Vegas Raiders
Last Update:   4/27/2024
RB Overview
Role Security: High
04/27/24 Zamir White is expected to be the primary RB on early downs. White should also be the favorite for goal-line work. Free-agent signee Alexander Mattison would seem suited for change-of-pace carries with work as a receiving back. Ameer Abdullah is primarily a pass-catching RB. Abdullah would likely see his most work when the Raiders are in their hurry-up offense. Sixth-round rookie Dylan Laube would need a strong camp to push Mattison for the change-of-pace role.
WR Overview
04/27/24 Davante Adams is expected to continue seeing an incrediby high target share as the lead receiver. Jakobi Meyers is the clear No. 2. It's unlikely his targets are consistent from week-to-week, but in games the Raiders trail, Meyers could have spike weeks. Tre Tucker is the No. 3 WR who can play in the slot. Tucker also gives the team a vertical element. It's not likely that Tucker has a high-volume role. DJ Turner and Kristian Wilkerson will compete for depth roles.
TE Overview
04/27/24 The Raiders drafted Brock Bowers with the 13th pick in the 2024 draft. Bowers should quickly become the primary receiving tight end. Michael Mayer is expected to be the No. 2 tight end. When the Raiders put two tight ends on the field, Mayer is likely to be the primary blocker.
