Tennessee Titans RB Roles
Team: Tennessee Titans
Last Update:   4/27/2024
RB Overview
Role Security: High
04/27/24 Tony Pollard is expected to be the lead back. However,No. 2 RB Tyjae Spears has a similar skill set to Pollard's. It's difficult to know where Pollard and Spears fit in a rotation. Both are very good receivers. Neither is a powerful runner near the goal line. For now, expecting 60% of the work to go to Pollard and 40% to Spears seems reasonable. Hassan Haskins and Julius Chestnut will compete for depth roles in during training camp.
WR Overview
04/27/24 DeAndre Hopkins and Calvin Ridley are likely co-No. 1 receivers for the Titans. It would seem probable that Hopkins sees more of the possession routes while Ridley sees more downfield work. However, both receivers are capable of winning routes all over the field. Treylon Burks will be the No. 3 receiver, but there may not be many targets for him as long as Hopkins and Ridley are healthy. Nick Westbrook-Ikhine and Kyle Philips will compete for depth roles.
TE Overview
04/27/24 Chigoziem Okonkwo will retain his role as the lead receiving TE. However, now that the Titans have two reliable WRs, Okonkwo will need the Titans to increase their overall pass attempts to retain a similar target share to the one he had in 2023.
