Top DFS Pitching and Team Stacking Strategies for DraftKings

In this article, I'm going to take a deeper dive into pitching and team stacking options. Let's take a look at our optimizer's rankings of the pitchers for the DraftKings seven-game main slate, sorted by projected fantasy points.

*No weather issues expected.

Despite the smaller sized slate, we have some quality pitching options to sort through with five starters priced $9,000 or higher. It's hard to go wrong with Logan Gilbert anytime he's at home, where he has a 2.15 ERA this season. Even better when you combine that with a matchup against the Cardinals, who are averaging three runs per game over the last week.

We've also highlighted Chris Sale, Nick Pivetta and Sean Burke in our optimizer. Burke is the value play on the slate as he gets a $1,900 discount compared to his FanDuel salary against a Rays offense that has been held under five runs in five consecutive games. Meanwhile, Pivetta is enjoying the best season of his career and is a good pivot off the high-end options.

The Rays are electing to open with Griffin Jax in a bullpen game with Joe Rock a candidate in bulk relief. I'll be avoiding that situation tonight. Note that Blake Snell and Carlos Rodon rank well in the metrics below.

Here's how each pitcher ranks in key categories (stats are from 2025 season only):
