The Skinny

The Sky have been one of the hottest teams in the WNBA over the last few weeks and enter this game with an 8-2 record over their last 10 contests, and they also escaped with a victory in their most recent matchup -- a 91-81 victory over the Wings, the same opponent they'll be facing here. Chicago currently sits in second place of the Eastern Conference standings but also ranks in fourth place of the overall standings thanks to their 10-8 mark, sitting 2.5 games behind the Connecticut Sun for the top spot. Chicago also has the advantage of playing on the road this season, where the Sky own a strong 7-3 mark thus far -- the best in the Eastern Conference. One player to watch for Chicago is Courtney Vandersloot, who averages a league-leading 8.7 assists per game.

The Wings will attempt to avenge the loss against Chicago earlier this week and while they still own a decent 6-4 mark in their last 10 games, it's worth mentioning that they've been the best example of the inconsistency surrounding several WNBA franchises this season. They have gone 8-9 on the season and just 3-4 when playing at home, so they need to find some sort of improvement if they're looking to pull the upset against Chicago in this duel. One player the Wings will trust in this contest is Arike Ogunbowale, who enters Friday's slate as the fourth-best scorer in the league with 20.4 points per game. Even though she can't do all the heavy lifting on her own, she's one of the safest best in terms of fantasy for this slate.

The Skinny

The Aces sit at the top of the Western Conference standings with a 12-4 record and while they're tied with the Seattle Storm for first place, they hold the edge on the tie-breaker procedure and have looked like a lock to make the postseason. Las Vegas owns a league-best 8-2 mark over its last 10 games but are "only" 5-3 when playing away from home. One player to watch for the Aces is Liz Cambage, who has emerged as one of the best defenders in the league and sits in the Top 5 in both rebounds (fifth, 9.3) and blocks (third, 1.8), but she's not the only player worth watching for the league-leading Aces. A'ja Wilson averages nearly 20 points per game, and in fact, Las Vegas has six players that score at least 10 points per game on the season.

The Sparks sit at the bottom of the Western Conference standings with a 6-9 record and they've been struggling badly when playing against rivals from the West, going a meager 1-7 against them. The Sparks have also gone 4-4 at home this season and there aren't many positive things going for them right now, as Los Angeles enters this game on a two-game losing streak while dropping four of their last five contests. As if that wasn't enough, the Sparks are also dealing with lots of absences on both ends of the court and will certainly miss their leading scorer, Nneka Ogwumike, who scores 16.4 points per game but has been ruled out due to a knee problem. As things stand now, one of the Sparks' best fantasy assets for this game will be Amanda Zahui B, who averages 11.7 points and 5.8 boards per game.

The Skinny

Record-wise, the Dream have been the second-worst team in the WNBA this season and have won just six of their 15 games (6-9), and that alone makes them a huge underdog for this contest -- especially since Atlanta has also posted a meager 3-7 record in their last 10 games. Even though they're coming off a win the last time out, 73-69 against the New York Liberty, it's worth mentioning that result ended a three-game losing skid. Atlanta hasn't been exactly been a very reliable team on most nights, but they have three very good fantasy performers in Courtney Williams, Tiffany Hayes, and Chennedy Carter. All three average at least 16.0 points per game this season, but Hayes also provides value when it comes to shooting from deep since her 44.9 percent of accuracy from deep ranks as the fifth-best mark in the league.

Led by MVP candidate Breanna Stewart, who ranks second in the league in points (21.8), rebounds (10.1), and blocks (1.9) per game, the Storm sit near the top of the Western Conference standings with a 12-4 record and should be treated as favorites ahead of this contest. Stewart has also been one of the best fantasy performers in the league this season and should be a lock to start in most formats, but she's not the only player worth targeting in the Storm roster. Sue Bird is among the top five players with more three-pointers made (36) and she also averages 6.1 assists per game, the third-best mark in the league. Seattle has gone 5-3 at home and an impressive, league-best 7-1 on the road during the current campaign as well. Undoubtedly, they look like a strong bet to end up on top in this one, and stacking Storm players against a struggling Atlanta team might not be the worst idea, all things considered.
