The Skinny

The matchup between the Aces and the Sun is expected to be the most competitive on Tuesday's slate. The teams play very different brands of basketball, as the Aces have the fastest pace in the league, while the Sun have the slowest. Both teams are highly efficient on both ends of the floor, which has resulted in a relatively low over-under (157.0). A'ja Wilson has the third-highest DFS salary of any player on DraftKings or FanDuel on Tuesday, but she's been remarkably consistent for Las Vegas recently. She's posted double-doubles in each of her two appearances following the Olympic break against the middling Washington defense, and she's played at least 30 minutes in each of her last five games. Liz Cambage has been Wilson's partner in the frontcourt this year and has averaged 16.0 points per game across her two appearances since the Olympic break, but she's averaged just 5.5 rebounds per game during that time. Kelsey Plum has a mid-tier salary and come off the bench in each of her appearances this season, but she's been a prolific scorer recently with double-digit point totals in five of her last six games.

For the Sun, Jonquel Jones is a strong MVP candidate this year with 12 double-doubles during the regular season. She snapped a streak of four consecutive double-doubles in Thursday's win over Minnesota but still has the chance to provide plenty of DFS value Tuesday, even against the Aces' strong defense. DeWanna Bonner has also been productive on the scoreboard in recent contests and put up a season-high 31 points while recording a double-double Thursday. Brionna Jones carries a lower salary and has proven to be effective this season, but she's totaled just nine points across her last two appearances. She's remained consistent on the boards but could struggle to generate scoring production Tuesday since the Aces have the best defensive efficiency in the league.

The Skinny

Both the Sparks and the Mystics have middling rankings in pace this season, but the Sparks have the worst offensive efficiency of any team in the WNBA. They aren't dealing with any day-to-day injury issues but continue to have five players out for the remainder of the year. Nneka Ogwumike returned from an extended absence following the Olympic break and has been productive in four games since then, as she's averaged 14.5 points, 7.0 rebounds and 5.0 assists in 34.8 minutes per contest during that time. Erica Wheeler has also had steady production for the Sparks this season. Although she was limited to just seven points against Atlanta on Thursday, she's put up 13.0 points, 4.8 assists and 4.0 rebounds in 35.3 minutes per game since the Olympic break and has a slightly more reasonable salary than Ogwumike.

The Mystics will be without their top player in Tuesday's matchup since Tina Charles has been ruled out due to a leg injury. Her absence could lead to increased looks in the frontcourt for Elena Delle Donne, who returned to the court Sunday for the first time since 2019. She recorded 16 points and three rebounds in 22 minutes Sunday and should remain heavily involved in Charles' absence. Myisha Hines-Allen should also be in line for an increased workload with Charles sidelined, especially if the Mystics limit Delle Donne's minutes in her second game back on the court. Hines-Allen brought in a season-high 17 rebounds in Sunday's loss to the Storm and has averaged 10.5 points and 9.5 rebounds in 25.0 minutes per game across four appearances since the Olympic break. Ariel Atkins has been a mainstay in Washington's backcourt this year and averaged 22.0 points per game across her first two appearances after the Olympic break, but she was limited to just 8.5 points per contest across the last two matchups.

The Skinny

Although the matchup between Chicago and Atlanta is expected to be the least competitive on Tuesday's slate, the game has the highest expected total (166.5). Both teams rank among the top four teams in the WNBA in pace, and both teams have some defensive issues. The Dream allow the highest average points and assists of any team playing Tuesday, but the Sky will likely be playing shorthanded since Candace Parker is doubtful with a back injury. Allie Quigley has stepped up recently with 27 points in each of her last two appearances while Parker has been limited, and she still has a mid-tier salary. She leads the Sky with 5.3 three-point attempts per game this season and should have plenty of opportunities from the perimeter Tuesday. Kahleah Copper has also been a prolific scorer recently, as she's averaged 16.3 points per game in her three appearances since the Olympic break. Courtney Vandersloot has been less consistent on the scoreboard, but she's racked up plenty of assists this season and should help drive Chicago's offense if Parker is ultimately held out.

The Dream will likely be without some key contributors as well, as Tiffany Hayes and Candice Dupree are doubtful, while Chennedy Carter remains suspended indefinitely. Atlanta's contributors have struggled with consistency on the scoreboard recently but will have a chance to bounce back against the Sky, who have the worst defensive efficiency in the league. Courtney Williams has topped 20 points in two of the four games since the Olympic break, but she's also been held under 10 points twice during that time. However, she's been more productive on the boards since the Dream returned to play, as she's averaged 8.0 rebounds per game across her last four appearances. Crystal Bradford has also provided well-rounded production recently and has averaged 9.8 points and 6.3 rebounds per game since the Olympic break. Elizabeth Williams' recent stats haven't jumped off the page, but she's still provided DFS value with 5.0 points and 4.0 rebounds per game across her last four appearances, and she's likely in line for an expanded role with Hayes and Dupree out.

The Skinny

The Storm have the second-highest expected total of any team on Tuesday's slate behind their offense that ranks second in the league in efficiency, but Minnesota and Seattle both have below-average pace. Seattle lost its two regular-season matchups after the team won the Commissioner's Cup in mid-August, but they've been much more effective with Breanna Stewart and Sue Bird back on the court across the last two games. Stewart has recorded double-doubles in four of her last five appearances in the regular season and has averaged 18.8 points and 11.4 rebounds in 34.8 minutes per game during that time. She has the highest DraftKings salary and second-highest FanDuel salary, but she's put up monster performances recently. Bird hasn't had the same top-tier results that Stewart has posted, but the 40-year-old has had well-rounded production in her first two games back on the court with 9.0 points, 5.0 assists and 4.0 rebounds in 24.0 minutes per contest in her last two appearances. Jewell Loyd took a major step in her first three games after the Olympic break and averaged 30.0 points, 4.7 rebounds and 2.7 assists in 34.7 minutes per game during that time, but she was limited to just eight points in Sunday's win over the Mystics.

The Lynx dropped a season-high 101 points in Saturday's win over the Sky, but they've had inconsistent offensive performances since the Olympics. However, Sylvia Fowles has remained consistent for Minnesota across the last four contests, and she's the only player on the team to record double-digit scoring totals in each of those games. During that time, the center has averaged 16.8 points and 8.3 rebounds in 32.2 minutes per contest. Napheesa Collier has also been relatively productive with 12.3 points and 4.8 rebounds per game in her last four appearances, but she's shot just 35.8 percent from the floor during that time. Kayla McBride offers a mid-tier salary and has shown glimpses of production across the last four games. She's scored in double figures on three of those occasions and has averaged 3.8 rebounds per game during that span.
