Stat Table Key

Weekly stats (first six columns)

  • Snap = % of team snaps that player was on the field for
  • Route = route share (routes run / QB dropbacks)
  • RUSHING = rushing line
  • RECEIVE = receiving line
  • Tgt = targets
  • AY = Air Yards

2025 Season Stats (final five columns)

  • Sn'25 = snap share for the season
  • Rt'25 = route share for the season
  • TPRR = Targets per Route Run
  • TS = Percentage of team's targets
  • AYS = Percentage of team's air yards

The final five columns of each stat table below (written in italics) show numbers for the entire season. Bold lettering denotes especially strong marks relative to positional standards. Green lettering for the weekly stats denotes considerable increases in playing time and/or usage relative to past weeks. Red lettering denotes the opposite a decreased role relative to prior games.

If you're looking for target and air-yard shares that only include active games, you can find those updated every Tuesday on RotoWire's advanced receiving stats page

  • With Jauan Jennings (ankle/ribs) and Ricky Pearsall (knee) both inactive, the 49ers used Demarcus Robinson, Kendrick Bourne and Marquez Valdes-Scantling as their top three WRs.
    • Bourne exploded for 10-142-0 on 11 targets, although Robinson actually held a slight lead in terms of both route share and air yards.
  • TE Jake Tonges scored another touchdown and tied Bourne for the team lead in targets. If George Kittle (hamstring) were healthy right now, he'd be putting up massive numbers. He's eligible to return Week 6, but Kyle Shanahan already said it's a "long shot" to actually happen.
    • Jennings and Pearsall seemingly have better odds to return, which leaves Bourne in limbo for fantasy purposes.
    • QB Brock Purdy (toe) is also in danger of missing additional time, with Shanahan calling his starting QB "week-to-week" after Thursday's win.

  • RB Blake Corum had more of a role in recent weeks, but that disappeared completely after he dropped a pitch during Thursday's game.
    • Kyren Williams finished with season highs for snap share, route share, targets and fantasy points, with an 8-66-2 receiving line that was easily the best of his career.
    • This won't necessarily carry over to future weeks, but it's definitely interesting to see how easily Corum was pushed out, whereas Williams has never been benched for more than a drive after a costly fumble/drop/etc. And Williams has the big contract, to boot.
  • TE remained a rotation with Tyler Higbee (hip) inactive. None of them got more than 44% route share or two targets.
  • WR Jordan Whittington got far more snaps/routes than Tutu Atwell in Week 4, although Atwell scored an 88-yard TD. For Week 5, the snaps/routes reversed, with Atwell more than doubling Whittington's route totals.

  • WR Jordan Addison was benched for the first quarter for missing a walkthrough, but that didn't stop him from posting a solid receiving line for the second straight week.
    • Addison's target rate (18%) is down from last year, but he's been on the field for nearly every passing play when not suspended/benched.
  • RB Jordan Mason got 70% snap share, 58% route share and 16 of 21 RB opportunities, while Zavier Scott got less playing time than the previous week (when Minnesota played from behind).
    • In three games without Aaron Jones, Mason has handled 64% snap share and 51% route share, averaging 15.0 carries, 2.3 targets, 81.3 total yards and 1.0 TDs per game. That's good for 15.3 PPR points, which makes Mason a strong RB2, though not quite the RB1 that many hoped for when Jones' injury was announced.
  • Target shares in Addison's two games:
    • Jefferson: 28.9% (124.5 ypg)
    • Addison: 18.4% (77.5 ypg)
    • Hockenson: 14.5% (38.5 ypg)

  • RB Quinshon Judkins had the same role as the previous two weeks. His shares only dropped a little because the Browns ran 13 plays in the final 2:30 of the first half, and also because he stayed in to block more against Brian Flores' blitz-happy defense.
    • If we don't count the second quarter, Judkins took 69% of snaps and 24 of 29 RB opportunities.
    • Q2 was also where he got a bit of a break the previous week, but it was exaggerated in this one due to the unusual number of plays run in hurry-up mode before halftime.
  • It hasn't amounted to much, but Isaiah Bond has 13 targets and 167 air yards over the past two weeks, essentially taking over for Cedric Tillman (hamstring).
    • Jerry Jeudy has 14 targets and 196 air yards over the same stretch. Which isn't bad at all, but his production still isn't following. Continued struggles could work in Bond's favor, although QB play remains a likely limiting factor, in addition to the uncertainty about Bond himself.
  • TE Harold Fannin mostly had the same role as in previous weeks, and even scored a TD, but his route share dropped to 51%, in large part because he stayed in to block on five pass plays.
    • Fannin had just four pass-blocking snaps total over his first four games. This was likely matchup-specific, and perhaps related to Gabriel making his first start, but it does seem we've said goodbye to any notion of Fannin asserting himself ahead of David Njoku. The fantasy upside here is based on what might happen if Njoku is injured or traded.

  • RB RJ Harvey took a step backward. His Week 4 production largely came in garbage time, but he also took 33% of snaps and seven carries before halftime. In this one, he got just 24% of snaps and two carries in the first half, while Tyler Badie actually led the backfield with 39% snap share pre-halftime (Dobbins was at 36%, but with seven of the nine carries).
    • Badie then took just 15% of snaps after halftime, even though the Broncos were trailing by multiple scores for much of the time. Dobbins, meanwhile, got 65% of snaps in the second half, with 13 of the 15 carries (and 13 of the 17 opportunities).
    • The role specifics likely will continue to vary from week to week, or even quarter to quarter, but the general idea right now is that Dobbins can be started as an RB2 while Harvey doesn't have much more than handcuff value.
  • WR Pat Bryant had season highs for snap and route share (54%) but wasn't targeted, dropping his TPRR to 8%.
  • WR Courtland Sutton is averaging 5.2 catches for 73.0 yards and 0.6 TDs on 7.4 targets. That's a bit below his pace from the second half of last year, but still makes him a high-end WR2 in the current WR-poor environment.
    • Sutton had four catches for 76 yards on Denver's final two drives. On the third-to-last drive, he had two catches for 12 yards, and drew a holding penalty that set up Dobbins' two-yard TD run.
  • In terms of playing time, WR Marvin Mims has fallen back to his rates from late last season, only now he isn't getting a ton of schemed touches and free PPR points. The Broncos have instead sent him downfield more often, using Harvey, Engram and Troy Franklin for some of what Mims did last year.
  • Engram has 13 targets in two games since missing Week 3, but it'll be hard to keep up the volume with his snap/route shares still lingering around 50%. The hope for fantasy is that his recent contributions lead to more playing time at the expense of Denver's other tight ends.

  • I wish I'd seen more of this game so that I could offer a better explanation for Saquon Barkley's lack of rushing volume. Defensive matchups and alignments obviously impact these things, but it feels like the Eagles paid way too much attention to the concern about their WRs being frustrated.
    • WR DeVonta Smith took advantage, while AJB got open downfield a couple times but didn't quite hit a big play. I still think Brown will get right, and sooner than later, but I also think we can rule out a return to his 2022-23 level of production (1,400+ yards). The hope at this point is to settle in as a WR2.
  • TE Dallas Goedert has 22 of Philadelphia's 132 targets but four of the seven receiving TDs.

  • RB Jaydon Blue got 19% snap share and four carries (for seven yards) in his NFL debut, handling a role that was slightly lesser than Miles Sanders' role prior to the ankle injury (Sanders was inactive for Week 5).
    • Javonte Williams solidified his RB1 status, in case you still had doubts. He looks like the guy everyone expected him to be years ago, and the usage is in elite territory, comparable to that of basically any other running back besides CMC.
  • TE Jake Ferguson had another huge game, and again while losing some snaps/routes to the other Dallas tight ends. His 33% TPRR is easily tops among qualified tight ends. The only WRs with a higher rate are Puka Nacua (39%) and Jaxon Smith-Njigba (34%).
  • WR Ryan Flournoy stepped up big time with both CeeDee Lamb (ankle) and Kavontae Turpin (foot) inactive.
    • Flournoy led the Cowboys in air yards (90) and tied for the team lead in targets (nine), putting up 6-114-0 even though he was well behind George Pickens and Jalen Tolbert for route share.
    • A 2024 sixth-round pick, Flournoy barely played as a rookie and opened this season as the Cowboys' No. 5 receiver, bouncing between the roster and practice squad in early/mid-September. He turns 26 in October and didn't break out until late in his college career, but there's no lack of athleticism (4.44 40, 132-inch broad jump and 39.5-inch vertical).
      • Flournoy isn't someone I'd worry about in most leagues, but he's at least worth scooping up in deep dynasty formats. If I had to guess, Sunday's performance will stand as his career-best effort when all is said and done.

  • RB Breece Hall got 14 of the 15 RB carries and played well, but Isaiah Davis took 44% snap share and 41% route share, which meant Hall's playing time wasn't any different from when Braelon Allen (MCL) was in the lineup.
    • Allen's lengthy absence is still good news for Hall, and likely gives him a large portion of the carries/touches, but the Jets clearly still want a second RB to stay heavily involved. Hall's new norm could be something like 60-65% of snaps and 70-75% of the RB touches.
  • TE Mason Taylor has 19 targets and 132 yards over the past two weeks. He's now Top 8 among TEs in route share, target share and air-yard share, despite seeing just three targets total in Weeks 1-2.
  • Rookie WR Arian Smith topped 50% route share for a second straight week, but he's been targeted on just 5% of routes this season.

  • TEs Ian Thomas and Albert Okwuegbunam formed a timeshare with both Brock Bowers (knee) and Michael Mayer inactive. AO ended up with six targets, benefitting from extreme negative game script, but that could go much more toward Thomas in a Week 6 matchup with Tennessee.
    • The Raiders used 11 personnel on 86% of snaps, adjusting first to their TE injuries (and then to negative game script).
  • RB Ashton Jeanty got 90% of snaps and all 14 RB opportunities in the first half, putting up 84 total yards on an otherwise miserable day for the Raiders.
    • Raheem Mostert got nearly all of his playing time once the game was out of hand, including 100% snap share in the fourth quarter.
    • At this point, the only real concern about Jeanty is that the Raiders are a joke. His role and performance the past couple weeks have been exactly what fantasy managers hoped for pre-season.
  • WR Jack Bech took a bunch of the snaps/routes that went to fellow rookie Dont'e Thornton in 11 personnel in previous weeks. Thornton's overall snap/route shares don't look too much different, but that's because the Raiders went three-wide far more often than in previous weeks.
    • Thornton has a 13% TPRR, with 5-94-0 on 16 targets. Even if his speed demands respect, he's hurting the Vegas offense overall.
    • WR Jakobi Meyers is also disappointing this year, and Bowers likely won't be at his best even if he returns soon. There's a real chance Bech ends up in a high-volume role at some point, be it due to trades, injuries or ineffectiveness ahead of him.

  • RB Jonathan Taylor took 87% of snaps through three quarters, with 21 of 24 opportunities and a trio of TDs.
    • Giddens got all five of his carries in the fourth quarter, taking six of the Colts' seven snaps. Before that, he had one target on two snaps, while Abdullah had two carries on three snaps.
  • As reported pre-game, Ashton Dulin replaced Adonai Mitchell as the No. 2 receiver. Alec Pierce (concussion) should be back soon anyway, and it's not a high-volume job in an offense where Michael Pittman and Josh Downs are both around 25% TPRR.
  • TE Tyler Warren only got four targets but made the most of them, and all of his usage shares still rank near the top among starting tight ends.

  • RB Woody Marks took 52% of snaps before the fourth quarter, but with just eight of 21 RB opportunities (for 27 total yards), while Nick Chubb took his 11 opps. for 64  yards and a TD.
    • Dameon Pierce's snaps and carries all came in the fourth quarter, deep into garbage time. He had no role before that.
  • WR Nico Collins and TE Dalton Schultz played 72% of snaps before the fourth quarter, with Xavier Hutchinson at 68%, Christian Kirk at 60% and Jayden Higgins at 52%.
    • WR Jaylin Noel caught a late TD, but he took just 18% of snaps before the fourth quarter, ranking a distant fifth among Houston's WRs.
    • The usage shares for Higgins show progress relative to Week 4, but not by a huge amount, i.e., it could be a one-game blip. Playing well helps, but less so when Kirk and Hutchinson also had nice days. This still feels like a late-2025 or early-2026 arrival, more so than something right around the corner.

  • RB Keaton Mitchell was active for the first time this year, playing four snaps (three before halftime) and taking four touches for 13 yards.

  • Last week I said that TE Darren Waller could be the poor man's version of 2024 Jonnu Smith. Now, I'm open to Waller repeating Smith's production, after he put up 5-78-1 on Sunday while improving to 60% snap share and 67% route share.
    • Waller needs to be added everywhere and can be treated as a mid-range TE1 for now. He's a very different player from Jonnu, but it could work out well now that Tyreek Hill's massive target share is out of the picture.
  • WR Jaylen Waddle easily led the team in targets, air yards, receiving yards and fantasy points in the first game without Hill.
    • A highly promising start, even if the matchup helped a bunch. It was also a good sign for Waddle and Malik Washington that NWI didn't get any targets despite 67% route share, which dropped his TPRR below 10% for the year.

  • We now know that Dowdle's increased usage Weeks 3-4 was at least partly related to Chuba Hubbard (calf) being banged up, but that doesn't mean Hubbard will return to his old role once he's healthy.
    • I do think Hubbard has a strong enough track record (and reputation) to keep the starting job, but Dowdle isn't going away after what he just did Sunday, taking 26 touches for 234 yards.
    • RBs DeeJay Dallas and Trevor Etienne each got 18% snap share but combined for just five touches (compared to Dowdle's 26).
  • WR Xavier Legette got 82% route share and scored a TD in his return from a hamstring injury, though he only drew three targets.
    • Meanwhile, undrafted rookie Jimmy Horn had three targets and two catches in his first NFL action, playing 27% of snaps. He and Jalen Coker (IR - hamstring) could overtake Legette and Renfrow at some point this year.

    • The usage is what drafters hoped for, but Skattebo hasn't necessarily done enough to see similar workloads once Tyrone Tracy (foot) is healthy.
  • WR Darius Slayton had an every-down role before a hamstring injury knocked him out of the game in the fourth quarter.
  • The Giants used more multi-TE looks without Malik Nabers, although they eventually shifted back to three-wide stuff when playing from behind late in the game.

  • RB Kendre Miller got two more carries than Alvin Kamara, whose increased receiving usage the past couple weeks is perhaps the silver lining to what otherwise looks like a semi-lost season for fantasy.
  • TE Juwan Johnson is still Top 10 at his position for all usage shares, but closer to 10 than 1 in many cases, after back-to-back disappointments.
  • WR Rashid Shaheed scored an 87-yard TD, but Chris Olave again dominated the volume, staying north of 30% for both target share and target rate.
    • Olave isn't really built for this type of role, and it's not working, but he'll inevitably have some big games if they keep force-feeding targets. Unfortunately, it's hard to envision any path to competent QB play in 2025.

    • Tony Pollard played 67% of snaps through three quarters and then 84% in the fourth quarter, but Spears got 67% of the snaps on 3rd-and-medium/long, which hints at upside for more passing-down work in the coming weeks.
  • WR Calvin Ridley rebounded big time, after sinking to 54% snap share and 43% route share the week before (with only 35% snap share post-halftime). In this one, Ridley was at 66% snap share and 80% route share, ranking second to Elic Ayomanor in both categories (and putting up 5-131-0 on 10 targets, with 171 air yards).

  • RB Michael Carter led the way, taking 90% of snaps and all nine RB opportunities on Arizona's first three drives, highlighted by a one-yard TD on the opening series.
    • RB Bam Knight then came on for the fourth drive and took three touches for 25 yards and a TD (another from one yard out).
    • For drives Nos. 5, 6 and 7 (still in the first half), Arizona split work between Carter, Knight and Emari Demercado, with the latter mostly playing in clear passing situations.
    • In the third quarter, Carter got 47% of snaps but six of seven RB opportunities, with Demercado still handling third downs and Knight subbing in some on early downs.
    • Things got weird on a 3rd-and-1 early in the third quarter. With Demercado on the field, Tennessee perhaps wasn't expecting a hand-off and let ED go right up the middle for a 72-yard TD... except that he dropped the ball right before crossing the goal line, a la Adonai Mitchell in Week 4.
    • Demercado played two of nine snaps after his miscue, surprisingly, though both were on third downs. Carter took the other seven snaps, with Knight not playing at all.
  • All in all, Carter got 58% of snaps and 23 of 31 RB opportunities (74%).
    • Carter took 74% of snaps on first/second down, while Demercado got 89% on third down. Neither impressed, but Carter dominated the work even before Demercado's fumble.

  • With Bucky Irving (shoulder/foot) inactive, Rachaad White took 81% snap share, 62% route share and 18 of 24 RB opportunities (75%).
    • Sean Tucker took six touches for minus-one yard. White also struggled to find room but punched in a couple of TDs and caught four passes, looking like a high-end RB2 if Irving should miss more time (at least one more absence sounds likely).
  • WR Emeka Egbuka's production is more impressive than his usage, which often hints at regression, but in this case might instead lead to more volume. The question at this point for fantasy is whether he's a WR1 or WR2 if/when the Bucs have their other pass catchers healthy.
  • Rookie wideout Tez Johnson ran more routes than Sterling Shepard for the first time, taking full advantage with 4-59-0 on four targets (plus a carry for two yards). Johnson is worth stashing in dynasty leagues, and worth remembering in case the Bucs' injury issues at WR get worse instead of better.
  • WR Chris Godwin saw a slight dip in playing time and major drop in targets relative to his Week 4 season debut. He was still well above 70% for snap and route share, making him startable in Week 6 if you really need him.

  • RBs Kenneth Walker and Zach Charbonnet each played 49% of snaps through three quarters, with Walker getting seven carries while Charbonnet had four totes and two targets.
    • In the fourth quarter, Charbonnet took 71% of snaps and five carries, with Walker at 33% (with three carries and a target).
    • Charbonnet took larger shares than he had in Week 4, but the bigger drag on Walker's usage was a pass-heavy gameplan against the Bucs (not exactly unusual, given their multi-year track record of strong run defense and shaky pass defense).
  • WR Jaxon Smith-Njigba is still running laps around every non-Puka WR in terms of usage, though a few other guys are slightly ahead for fantasy scoring on the basis of touchdowns.
  • TE AJ Barner scored his third and fourth TDs of the season. He's a solid player, but this was his first game of the year with more than three targets, and his route shares are regularly much lower than his snap shares, i.e., he still does a lot of blocking.
    • Barner needs to be rostered in dynasty leagues in case the production leads to more usage, but he's probably not quite athletic enough to ever be a volume pass catcher. He's more of a dump-off guy than a seam stretcher.

  • RB Jacory Croskey-Merritt took at least five snaps and two carries in each quarter, while Chris Rodriguez didn't play at all until the second half.
    • Through three quarters, Croskey-Merritt got 55% snap share and 12 of 15 RB opportunities, with Jeremy McNichols getting 33% of snaps and the other three opportunities.
      • Rodriguez then got more work in the fourth quarter, taking five carries, but JCM nonetheless finished with career highs for snap share, route share, carries and fantasy points, among other things.
    • McNichols took six of seven snaps on third down prior to the fourth quarter, with those plays accounting for two of his three opportunities. In other words, Croskey-Merritt got 12 of the 13 RB opportunities (and 63% of snaps) on first/second down in the 1st/2nd/3rd quarters.
  • WR Deebo Samuel got 11 targets on a day when no other Commander had more than two, pushing his target rate up to 30% for the year. This is arguably the best we've seen him since his breakout year, apparently rejuvenated by the team switch (and maybe Kliff Kingsbury?).
    • Samuel ranks eighth among WRs with 17.7 PPR points per game. His 78.9 percent catch rate probably isn't sustainable, but something in the low 70s might be. Combine that with some carries and you get some margin for error even if Terry McLaurin (quadriceps) inevitable takes some of those chances.
      • McLaurin reportedly has a chance to return for MNF against the Bears in Week 6.

  • RB Omarion Hampton was a three-down workhorse again, taking 83% of snaps through three quarters, but he then missed the fourth quarter with an ankle injury.
    • RB Hassan Haskins was ahead of Kimani Vidal for most of last season and all of September, but it's hard to say how much that's a special teams thing vs. preference on offense.
      • In Sunday's game, there was only drive between Hampton's exit and the Chargers pulling their starters. On that drive, Haskins played eight of 14 snaps, with three carries and one target (for seven yards). vidal took the other six snaps, and also had three carries and one target (for 17 yards).
      • Both RBs need to be rostered in all leagues. I'd lean toward Haskins in terms of the Week 6 workload, but Vidal is the one with a chance to actually be good, offering speed and agility that a plodder like Haskins can't match. That said, the Chargers seem to trust Haskins with blocking and knowing his assignments, which may not be the case for Vidal.
  • QB Justin Herbert is averaging 35.6 pass attempts per game, fourth most in the league. That number now figures to rise even higher, which is the silver lining for Ladd McConkey and friends... for as long as Herbert is able to stay healthy while dropping back 40-plus times per game behind a shaky O-line. There's a lot of fantasy upside here, but also a path where things go horribly wrong and the Chargers just kind of stink.
